Blog Buzz: McCain Attacks Obama With the Troops, and Vice Presidential Speculation Grows Odder
The new McCain ad also assaults the truth while McCain-Smith and Obama-Veneman bubble up
Our daily look at stories and topics lighting up the Internets:
McCain Attacks With the Troops
John McCain's campaign is running a new ad accusing Barack Obama of blowing off a visit to wounded troops to go shoot some hoop. The ad is false, so why isn't the press saying so? And is the Obama campaign scared of going after McCain? And Is Obama McCain's piñata? But does the Mc-flailing make sense? McCain wasn't always in favor of using the military to score political points. Oh, and by the way: The ad is being run for insiders. (Don't worry, voters, we'll endlessly repeat the message, so you don't have to actually see the ad.)
Veepstakes
Veep choices are getting more and more, umm, interesting: McCain-FedEx—err, Smith?? Obama-Veneman? Umm, how about waiting until the convention to name the running mate?

MSM Bias
The media is following Obama, not because they are biased, but because he is more interesting. Lets face it, McCain is boring. I haven't noticed anyone complaining that the media has bypassed McCain's flips this past week (16month withdrawal, tax, affirmative action in Arizona, etc). I am 58 years old and I think it is time we hand it over to a new generation. Obama is that generation. Will he make mistakes? I am sure he will! However, it is time for McCain to wrap it up and call it a day in the sun of Arizona. It is time for the WWII and Viet Nam generation to retire. Perhaps a new generation can do a better job!
MSM Bias
Bias in the main news outlets is not new. Pulitzer and Hearst were very, in their own way. What irritates many of us in the hinterlands is the lack of spine the current crop displays. The recent slobbering lovefest shown toward Messiah Obama is really too much to stomach. You ( the collective you ) are, we know you are and you lose any respect when you try to say otherwise. Honesty is the better policy. Maybe your public approval ratings, your believability, would be better served if you simply said, " I just love him too much..." What hypocrits you are .
