Public Opinion: Iran Test-Fires Missiles. How Should the U.S. React?

If Iran has this type of technical know how can't they be part of

NASA, and join the space programs. Most of our missiles became part of the space programs. Why don't the countries that have the technical knowhow become or join the pioneers of space. Wouldn't the world profit from a greater pool of minds in this venture.

In my opion this whole mess were in is about protecting oil,you have the shitti cedic holding the cease fire against the usa,iran wants to take out isreal,iran who doesnt want to take the incentive package offered(if building for energy why not take it),what a mess.So? out of the whole mess in the middle est whats the #1 problem there?I think all the head of the countries need to sit down and put all the cards on the table,and say this is the #1 problem,#2 problem up to #5,then ask how can we all fix all this.away with sanctions (cause there not working)how or what can we all do (the world)to fix all this mess.(all the politicians with hidden agenda stay away)only serious people may attend.Fix or make plans to fix situation ,shake hands,take pics sing documents,and go home.but like I said just my opion

Iran military maneuvers and Nuke testing.

When a country has openly made statements about wanting us all dead (for religious reasons?) he can't be made to change his mind because his religion in this case has been ingrained in him since he was four - even the necessity for killing the infidels. So, his next step is to develop the machinery for doing this which they are doing and testing as you read this article. Is there any question what needs to happen? I am tired of tiptoeing around the real issue and that is we have to do them in convincingly before they have a chance to push the button on us. This would be done from very high altitude bombers and missiles pinpointing every spot where war munitiions (nuke or standard are made ) and totally obliterate them along with the human beings(?) who run the asylum. All launches would be made so that all known targets are hit at once, making a retaliation impossible. If this is totally abhorrent to those highest in power, then it could be done with neutron bombs followed by a mass invasion of a country that has no surviving infostructure. Iran first along with other countries that have been outspoken about attacking America - (possibly Argentina as well)Where are the George S. Pattons, MacArthurs, and Montgomeries of the past? Are there not enough balls left in the world to produce men who will stand in the enemy's face with an iron jaw and dare them to retaliate. We have been threatened, they are preparing, these are acts of War,punishable in the past by an arse-kicking. I am ready to rejoin my comrades in arms though I am now 61, my aim is perfect, I am in great health, I am at peace with the rightness of my intentions. Let us move ahead and rid the world of its vermin.

We have to engage our enemies

The days of the USA being top dog in the world are long over. As much as I hate to admit it, Obama has it right that we have to hold talks with Iran, etal. Bluster and threats are not going to disuade Iran from their ambitions as they will not want to seem to back down and consequently lose face globally.

Iran, Israel and the Middle East

I can't believe how naive, simplistic and topic-uneducated most of the respondents have been! There is no negotiating with the Arab nations. They don't keep their word! Israel is surrounded by nations that only want to wipe them off the face of the earth, for reasons we don't understand. Before there was an "Israel" as a defined nation, they fought each other - also for reasons we don't understand! The only thing that unites them is their hatred of Israel! If there was no longer an Israel, they would probably go back to fighting each other. Case in point: Iraq's invastion of Kuwait.

I find it interesting the person that named himself "read some history" is taking the position that Iran is no threat to the US. If that person actually read some history himself, he would realize that the current day Iran is not much different than Nazi Germany when it comes to wanting to wipe out an entire race of people. Iran's president has made well documented speeches specifically stating that Israel should be wiped off the face of the map.

Iran's president threatens to take actions that, if we don't take the appropriate steps now, will most likely cause the beginning of WWIII. (Wouldn't it have been great if we had the foresight to have stopped Hitler before he invaded Poland)

And to R Rodriguez....you said "if Israel gives up its nuclear weapons then Iran wont see the need to develop any".....so, let me get this straight....if you were standing in your house with your family behind you, and you had a handgun to protect your wife and kids.....and there was this crazed person outside your house that was yelling that he wanted to kill your family and he was just waiting for his buddy to bring over his gun....you would yell out to him and say..."hey I tell you what, I will take my gun apart and destroy it so I can't hurt you".....you think that nut would say..."Oh, in that case I will leave you alone".???

Come on people....Iran is making threatening comments and they are in the process of developing nuclear weapons.....let's do the right thing and make sure we don't have a repeat of Nazi Germany.

a stratigic place for military bases is what they are to the neocon empire. and they have oil that we can divy up like we did iraq's. the same people beating the war drums on iran are the ones swearing saddam had wmds. saddam was the same beast when he was our buddy. we put him in power over the DEMOCRACY that existed before him. when he quit being a puppet, we exposed him as a villian never metioning that he had been usa's villian. welcome to the "new american century". see it for what it is. usa world dominance.

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY WE SHOULD PROTECT A RACIST COUNTRY LIKE ISRAEL. AFTER ALL ISRAEL IS THE MAIN PROBLEM IN THE REGION NOBODY LIKES THEM. IF ISRAEL GIVES UP ITS NUCLEAR WEAPONS THEN IRAN WONT SEE THE NEED TO DEVELOP ANY.

Give to Israel cruise missiles, F-22 fighters and several old nuclear submarines that can be armed with nuclear weapons in intent to give Israel ability to second stick and by so establishment of deterrent ability that deter her foes and secure her existence. It MUST be the responsibility of US and the West to prevent SECOND HOLOCAUST.

The Iran Missiles as i mentioned before is worst treat to the world community. Before i could mentioned some thing about USA reaction i would like to say that the Devil state of Iran is the treat to the Arab world. I do not Understand what Islam does Iran believe on. For me i believed that those in Iran does not believed in the real islam, the People are the followers of the evil or they are xises of evils. The realy Islam i know is the peaceful islam that prophert Mohmed preach in the Middle east. But what is know by the islamic politics of Iran is out of the real islam of prophet mohamed. Therefore, ibelieve America and isreal are now ready to take Military action. i also wanted to bring to your mind that what is call Barak Obama candidates for USA election is not helpul, he is very New in politics and very weak in such a big world issues, what does he means but negatiation with Iran? how can you talk with the evils? it gives no sense.
