Public Opinion: How Should the United States Deal With North Korea?

DEALING WITH THE NORTH KOREAN NUCLEAR PROBLEM.
IT SEEMS THE WHOLE WORLD IS AGAINST THE IDEA OF A NUCLEAR ARMED KOREA AND/OR IRAN. SO FAR THE WORLD HAS ADOPTED THE CARROT AND STICK APPROACH TO A SOLUTION. THE PROBLEM IS ONLY HALF OF THIS
APPROACH HAS BEEN USED AND NEITHER COUNTRY BELIEVES THE WORLD WILL ALLOW THE SECOND HALF TO OCCUR. I SAY QUIT WASTING EVERYONES TIME AND MONEY, NOT TO MENTION GIVING THE PRESIDENTS OF THESE TWO COUNTRIES A VERY GOOD LAUGH AT OUR EXPENSE. STOP NEGOTIATIONS AND ISSUE THEM A SIMPLE PROMISE. THE FIRST TIME THEY SUCCESSFULLY TEST A WEAPON OF LEGITMATE YIELD, ALL FACILITIES KNOWN TO BE INVOLVED IN THE PRODUCTION OF SAID WEAPON WILL BE WIPED OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH AS MANY TIMES AS IT TAKES TO MAKE THEM REALLY STOP.
N Korea's insecurities
N Korea is like a small insecure child, too fickle to rely upon too much. Maybe the porn addicted Kim Jung Il is having a change of heart given his country's poverty stricken status and lack of glory communism was supposed to bring. The grinding poverty keeps that country dark and it's people constantly on the edge of starvation. As with any insecure child, only firm guidance & constant reassurances will bring them out of their self-imposed misery. But it is prudent to expect temper tantrums, threats and even violence until they grow more mature.
