Blog Buzz: Special Unity Edition

Oh yeah, and something blew up in North Korea

Posted June 27, 2008

Our daily look at stories and topics lighting up the Internets today:

Unity: All together now...

Political Intelligence's Foon Rhee notes that after months of acrimony, it's a virtual lovefest among the Democrats, culminating in today's rally in Unity, N.H. But John Nichols on the Natio n's Campaign '08 thinks the notion that Obama and Clinton were in a battle to death was always a theatrical rather than a realistic one. Meanwhile, Mark Halperin on Time's The Page calls Obama and Clinton "perfect together." TNR's Michael Crowley also approves, while other TNR entries take a lighter view. Even committed Hillary-ite Taylor Marsh says it went as well as could be expected (his tie matched her pantsuit). Meanwhile, NRO's Kathryn Jean Lopez sheds some crocodile tears before (Buzz assumes) cracking wise about the missing Clinton.

NoKo: Oh yeah, there was a good explosion in North Korea

Yongbyon is long gone, and bloggers on the right and left are...cautiously optimistic.

America - "wake up - all of this '"petty", "side-issue" stuff has caused many to lose their focus. We need someone in Washington who has the character and integrity to stick by their convictions and morals to bring a sense of values and with it "LEADERSHIP". HAS IT GONE BY THE BOARDS THAT THE NEXT PRESIDENT WILL HAVE TO NOMINATE AT LEAST ONE MAYBE THREE, SUPREME COURT JUSTICES? This can bnot be loeft to people wgho would say or do anything to get elected! We need someone who can not only LEAD BY HIS EXAMPLE but also select a cabinet and advisors who also are r esepected leaders - shown by their votes and decisions over the past number of years.

This nation will rise or sink ( together) ( " A house divided against itself - cannot stand").

DOWN ON YOUR KNEES AMERICA! THEN STAND UP AND BE COUNTED!
