Public Opinion: Should the United States Allow Offshore Drilling for Oil and Gas?
Sen. John McCain has called for an end to the federal moratorium on offshore drilling for oil and gas. He hopes the move would help alleviate the rising cost of energy. Critics say that it would do little to lessen U.S. dependency on foreign oil but would threaten the environment. Should the United States repeal the offshore drilling ban? Post your thoughts below.

i think that is not the right thing to do by offshore drilling i mean come on we are lioke killing many of animals and its not helping us haha suprise all they are doing is that oil companies are making money on it

I think we shuld not drill if we drill who knows how meny animels we will kill. Besids if we did drill thars a cans we wouldnt get the oil here eneyway and if we did it wuld tack about 10 years.

we have hundereds of years worth of oil that our government uses to move huge navy rigs. maybe the problems not that we are drilling so much that it hurts the environment maybe the problem is that we pissed to many people off in other countries so now we need huge armys just to keep from being burned to thwe ground..
