I have put off the iPhone for 6mo, awaiting the 3G. In fact, I stayed with AT&T--which I detest--for the iPhone. It is in no way overhyped; the quality-of-life improvement form going Mac in anyway is hard to quantify. The GPS and push mail (through Microsoft exchange, unless I'm mistaken) isnt to be overlooked. And less money, too.
