Cause of Crash

Has the Authorities considered that the cause may have been a Tornado (Water Spout)? Given the fact that Flight 447 was flying through a towering thunderstorm and that U.S. Satelite data showed 100 mph updrafts at the time Air France 447 was fling, I believe there is a good possibility. Why hasn't anyone suggested this! It would explain why there wasn't a MAY DAY call by the pilot and how spread out the Debris field is. Are these Airbus 330's able to withstand a F-5 Waterpout?
