LOL

Oh my god this is the funniest thing i've heard all day. Seems like someones been watching to many pirates of the caribbeans movies.

Pirates

Why not issue Letters of Marque & Reprisal to our merchant ships, arm them with 20 mm. cannon and RPGs and let them have at these simple sh-ts who want to play with real guns and other peoples lives & property?

Cruise ships next.

Now its shipping companies, next its cruise lines with innocent civilians and ruining the cruiseing industry lets just send a strong message and blow these want to be pirates out of the water.

Strike hard and fast

I think the U.S. should just blow these pirates out of the water and make an example out of these idiots. Mes with the U.S. and there are serious consequences to Pay.Once Its done several times others will see, learn and think twice and take us seriously. Oh and by the way, this should be a good warm up training exercise for our elite navy seals and our military.

Pirates Solution

The United States needs to make an example of these people quickly and in the most explicit manner possible. Trying to be the "feel-good" help everyone model doesn't work when these are uneducated Muslim teenagers trying to rob and murder American civilians. They have established the fact that they HATE us and will KILL us at every chance they get. I do not understand why after the recent fiasco was resolved, Pres. Obama did not authorize the military to fire bomb the hell out of whatever ports the pirates supposedly came from. This would lead to grave causalities, and this is the only thing that will phase them. If we kill THEIR people and destroy THEIR property, and make it clear, attack a US boat, a village will be destroyed. The piracy will stop.

Or we can all hold hands while the pirates laugh in our faces and do whatever the hell they please for years to come.

Some issues require a fast and violent response.

These animals are not worth risking American lives for any longer, no ground forces need be involved. A few missles or air raids should solve it.

Somali pirates, who have vowed revenge

Someone should point out to these lowlife nitwits, teenage or otherwise, that if you play with weapons like the Big Boys, the REAL Big Boys will shoot you dead. You can bluster, you can threaten, you can scream bloody murder, you can even commit murder against helpless innocent victims, but you will still be shot dead. And the World says, "Good riddance to bad rubbish."

inside solution

instead of getting rid of the pirates, why not give them a reason not to pirate? the reason many of them are pirates in the first place is because of ethiopia (who was backed by the USA) invading somalia. this weakend the somalian government which reduced jobs and military. now every country in the world and their grandma is either dumping their nuclear waste there, or stealing their fish which has a huge impact on the fishermen in the area. if we could get the world to stop dumping and stealing from this country thats already down, there will be less pirates, and eventualy somalia will take the pirates out

Piracy

When airline highjackings (a form of piracy) became a problem, we created the Air Marshall program, now under the aupices of the TSA. Why not a Sea Marshall program, running along similar lines? It could be funded by the cargo insurers and administered by the TSA as well. And, if we limited the program to American owned and registered vessels, it just might bring some of the Panamanian and Liberian registries back into the American fold.

Guard the Caravan on sea

I would suggest to have frighter and oil ships get togather at some safe ports, then sail just like caravan on desert as in ocean. Have a couple military ships or cruiser with helicopters to protect the carava, from pirate zones. As far there are 12 country dispatched the navy ships in that area, they are able to organize and takes turns to provide the protection to sail through the off coast of Somalia safely.
