Cubans?

Do we not remember that Cuba is communist. Do we not remember that Cuba hates America. Of couse Castro and his brother likes Obama they have the same ideas wich are socialist and communist. We need Bush back. We are falling apart day by day with your week liberal democrat goverment. If this continues who knows what will happen. I should have voted for McCain. Sorry America, I didnt do my part.

Poor Foreign Policy

The 47-year old Cuban Embargo serves no one but the egos of old Cuban Exiles and their children in South Florida and NJ. American's have lost their freedom to trade and travel to the island and that's the most important aspect of this foreign policy blunder!!

Cuba has free trade with every other country except US

Why does anyone think free trade with US will produce an economic miracle in Cuba. Cuba is the way it is because of socialism. We do not tell Cuba what to do, we have chosen not to deal economically with them in the past.

Free Cuba through free trade

Insanity is contuing the same policy and expecting different results. Cuba will change with the infusion of open trade and open tourism.

time for reality to set in

when are we going to stop dictating to others countries how to live, who are we with our corrupt and greedy ways. also read our history of interviening, our country set the conditions for a castro to arrive on the scene in the first place, look at our history books and all the treacherous plots that our cia has done in the last 60 yrs, alone. stop it its time for a real change in our way of doing things, the problem with out country is that when we get called on our actions we cant stand it and act like little kids grow up america STOP IT'.

Old Cuban Guard in Miami is fading away....

It took more than 45 years but time is on our side. As what is left of the Cuban hardliners dies in southern Florida, RIP, the politicians are finally realizing that the embargo didn't work. Not to mention the donations are drying up. Time for a new tack, open dialoge, no restrictions on travel and commerce. Cubans want to be a part of the American way, that's why they still make rafts and try to sail here. Lets bring the American virus of capitalism to the Cuban island once and for all.

When overweight Americans with credit cards start pounding the sidewalks of Havana, spending cold hard cash, then the final stake will be driven into Fidel's regime.
