Your assesment of the situation is the opposite of the truth, CHINA is the largest creditor to the US. The people's bank of china owns more US treasury bonds than any other entity, and other large chinese enterprises are following the lead. In fact, they have been buying more bonds than ever since the subprime crisis began and the rest of the world decided to unload their US bonds. Sources inside the people's bank say up to 75% of their forex assets are US bonds.
It is quite well known that the US has a NEGATIVE balance sheet in trading with china, to the tune of 200-300 billion dollars. This is normal for china, before the HEIC and the opium wars they had a positive trade balance since antiquity. I wonder where you would come up with this interpretation of events. Even without knowing the statistics and publicity floating around our deficit with china, one could simply ask themselves 'are there more Made In USA labels in china or are there more Made In China labels here?'
Obviously, capital is flowing OUT of the US (and the rest of the world) and INTO china at an alarming rate, just as it did before the 19th century. One can gather from this that the chinese leadership have no intention of ever instigating a nuclear war (directly, anyways) and they have little reason to do so since the chips are stacked in their favor. Before the end of my life, they will inevitably assume the mantle of the wealthiest country in the world and they are as fully aware of that as i am.
US can Kill China with Trade
whats the current trade deficit between china and the US? 500 billion something? the US is the largest creditor to china today. what will happen tomorrow, if america stops trading with china and goes to south asian nations like india, sri lanaka, thailand, vietnam etc etc. the US can kill china whenever it wants but it doesn't want to. it wants to maintain a balance in asia. but with china playing dirty ball and proliferating it's nuclear arsenal among nations to counter it's own insecurities, the US wonders...
my suggestion is to kill china before it's to late. it follows a policy of offense is the best defense. the US public can do this by boycotting chinese made products. import products from vietnam, sri lanka and india. they need your help more. they won't attack anyone either. they never have. there busy trying to survive and not eye wash the world with olympic glitters.
I think china is playing a dirty game by supporting pakistan. Pakistan will later become a threat to china also.

The world should thank India of all the countries in the world for making it unsafe. Pakistan had to start their own program because of India. India has never accepted the existence of Pakistan since seperation in 1947.
With its large population with ever increasing annual growth rate of 24-25%, gripped in poverty and destitute they detonated their device back in 1974 and for what reason? To intimidate and ridicule Pakistan.
Pakistan is caught in such a crux it's unable to get out of it. They detonated 05 devices in a span of one week in 1998 and Pakistan had to to respond likewise. They buy weapons of mass distruction and Pakistan acts in same manner. The strategist call it balancing of power in the region. How absurd. I cant help it but to state that so called big powers are pushing these two to brink of madness as they get much more in terms of sale of weapons to them. A billion here and billion there for selling planes, submarines, destroyers etc.
The people of both nation suffer in the end. When will all this madness end. With all their economic reform and sky rocketing GDP yet their per capita income is still pathetic as compared to Pakistan. There is limit to every growth after some period. So both countries should pull their limited resources and act wisely by uplifting the standard of life and better welfare for their masses.
Pakistan certainly has no plans of using it against any country as they have stated time and again that it will only give them some leverage against the Indians across negotiating table.
