Americans Are Among the Dead in Mumbai Terrorist Attacks

Well gosh.

Isn't it interesting how many folks were there, and saw this situation firsthand, but were disarmed by well-meaning government types who think that the general public is too stupid to take care of themselves?

When will we learn that waiting for "the professionals to handle it" is in line with what the terrorists want: A high body count.

Statistics show that when armed assailantes are engaged by armed defenders, the slaughter stops and instead a gunfight ensues. "But wait!" whine the anti-self-defense crowd, "then there's the hazard of stray bullets from both sides!"

I'll gladly take that "hazard" instead of the certainty of an uninterrupted close-quarters execution any day of the week. Especially considering the statistics for armed intervention here in the US by civilians or off-duty law enforcement personnel who just happened to be armed in the midst of "massacres": No innocents, to this date, have EVER been hit by the gunfire of the lawfully armed defenders.

So much for stray bullets.

Goes to show that you don't have to be a cop to stop a massacre.

And if you don't stop it...people die.

Take responsibility for yourself -- don't delegate your safety to "the professionals" -- your chances are exponentially better depending on your own desire to live and your ability to directly affect the outcome than waiting to be a victim.

Pakistan's terror activities

Stupid pakistan govt & ISI must stop their support to terrorist. Oterwise they will be teached lessions from international community. India & US will teach them a lesson very soon. I don't see they will stop their support to terror. They were doing this for some time since 1989. Now they can't control the terrorist. Pakistan govt is inefficient to control the terrorist. They supported,supporting them at all the time & it causes them too. But they don't learn lessons from it. India should become super power like US, then they will scare of indian govt. Until then they will do all these type of back door activities to distruab india at all time.

Its infuriating to see how these bunch of nutters took so many innocent lives in 3 days. These so called TERRORISTS are nothing but fanatics who on the name of religion do evil deeds and want the entire nation to surrender to their wicked wishes. I know if we all get together we can fight terrorism and finish it as if it never existed.I strongly believe that these constant attacks are just making the people stronger and ready to fight against the injustice. ITS TIME THAT THESE FREAKS GET THEIR DUE.

Also my heart goes out to those who lost their loved ones in this dirty battle and I am proud of the martyrs who laid their lives protecting the nation.

Its infuriating to see how these bunch of nutters took so many innocent lives in 48 hours.

They are under the false impression that their constant attacks in different places are going to cow down the civilians and make the entire mation surrender to their evil wishes.

Well they are nothing but FANATICS who on the name of religion are

How many times are people going to murder and be murdered in the name of religion. God did not ask that these people be killed. God did not ask these people to kill. This was done by humans that are using the name of God to justify their perverse pleasures and natures. When your time comes you will have to answer to God for the suffering you have visited unto people using his name. GOD is GOD. No manmade religion can claim to speak for GOD only GOD can speak for himself. You can pray all you want and claim that God has told you to do these things in his name. Other men may believe you until they have to answer to the one true God for what they have done following the lead of false prophets.

The thugs are nothing and no match.

There are a lot of talking about how smart these thugs are and how well they are doing these senseless killings. However, what they have done is nothing in military and financial terms.

1) India has a strong financial industry, but it is not like the USA, financial sector is not India's pillar industry like (neither is tourist industry). Instead it is high tech and IT sourcing, steel manufacturing, and chemical industries. The choice of targets showing these thugs do not have any modern knowledge of the world (I guess reading their "holy book" day in and day out and learn nothing else do not help anyone understand how the world economy functions). Attacking a few hotels will not bring down India, but make its people and the people everywhere in the world hate these stupid extremists!

2) From a military strategy perspective, it was nothing but kids game with small fire arms. There was no evidence of electroic weapons, psychological warfare, high precision missles, military decoys, or urban warfare strategies and techniques. It was nothing but a bunch of brain washed young men who are angry at the world and kill defenceless civilians and it will help them at all, but bring their defeat faster because people arond the world hate. Try attach the USA army, we will wipe them out like pieces of craps.

3) It seems that they are all hiding somewhere in the high mountains (with no or very little civilian population) where the usage of unconventional bombing looks increasing a viable choice of target neutralization.

I wonder if terrorists know that angering an entire nation won't get them what they want. I wonder if they realize killing our people won't make us sympatheize. I wonder if they realize that they will only garner more opposition as they continue to do evil. No ends justifies this kind of means. Lets pretend I understand their goal. Why then should I pretend to understand their means? If the first step to reconcilliation is mutal understanding, then all I can say is terrorist attacks achieve the total opposite of mutal understanding, and that is misunderstandings created by hatred and the biases created by it. Such stupidity.

This event is sad... and unamazingly, it's common. Americans kill them. They kill. Iraqis kill. Everyone kills. Too bad killing has almost become a tradition, even amongst the west, asking for an end is unreasonable. Retribution however is also tradition. Pathetic and sad. It's sad that this time it is our own that dies, and as selfish as it may seem, tomorrow it may be us again that loses. Someone will seek vengence. That too will be a sad day. Too bad...

My condolenscences to the countless numbers who have died in Mumbai in the last couple days. Your loss is a loss to mankind, may peace be with you.
