The American clean-shaven look is a drawback in a land where facial hair is seen as a sign of manhood

"Beard" Rules in Afghanistan
I am not so sure about the beard "rules" for our guys.
But I understand that the Taliban will have a new recruiting
drive coming spring with a new motto. This in order to attract more recruits. Their warrior soldiers will be wearing mini-skirts instead of those heel hugging night-gowns, which they keep tripping over when walking thru those mountains and canyons. However beards and hairy-legs are still the order of the day. They hope to double their forces for next year.
Hence I am not sure if wearing beards are to our advantage, although it may reduce the violence.
