THIS IS A GREAT ARTICLE ABOUT THE VIRGIN QUEEN
After watching the movie "Elizabeth" starring Cate Blanchett several times, I fell in love with this Queen. I had no idea that she was related to Mary, Queen of Scots, and that is amazing to me. I wanted to read more about her life cause of parts in the movie that were confusing, and now I understand what was confusing me. I figured out she was the daughter of King Henry the V111 and And Bolyn (sp), and the article verified that for me. The most amazing part of all this was that her mother swore to Henry V111 that her daughter would someday be Queen of England before he had her beheaded, and darn if Elizabeth didn't achieve that through nearly impossible circumstances. I'm still confused about her fight with France, which was protrayed in the movie. Didn't the Queen of France plot to have her killed, also? I'd like to know why the Queen of France tried to get Elizabeth to marry her nephew. Most likely to bond France and England, or maybe to get her own foot in the door to England. I'm not a historian, but I love this very romantic and incredible story about a woman that achieved more than any other woman in history that I'm aware of. She is now my hero for life. Thank you so much for the well written article and great facts about her life.

wow who knew that a simple girl could become as famous as she did? im jst glad that i didnt have to go thru what she went thru i had read a book and it said that even though she resembled her father the most, she was still disregarded. i do believe her father had a terrible temper and that he didnt kno how to deal with it.
