Rice is now "said to have warned" Saakashvili not to provoke Moscow with force. Yeah, right.
This is a colossal loss of face for the West, cementing our reputation as a paper tiger, incapable of anything of except nukes (which we can't use) and bluster. And it is a direct consequence of failure of the U.S. to correctly counsel the Georgians.
Bush missed 9/11 and he missed this one too. The "diplomacy" has been just horrendous and you, dear voter, are the loser.
