A Sheik Who Models America's 'Can Do' Attitude

In Dubai's shadow, Ras al Khaimah's leader wants a piece of the action

Visionary?

My best friend is a true-life victim of Sheikh Saud's greediness and hypocrisy. He had jailed my friend's innocent husband, destroyed their lives and future, and took away everything from them. The Sheikh did not even pay a single penny for the works her husband did for him.

You should read how they inhumanly handled their own 3000 employees of RAK CERAMICS who protested for a better living and wage condition this year. Instead of solving the problems, they jailed ALL these 3000 poor people in various jails in Ras Al Khaimah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and then deported them back to their country (India).

What a visionary man!

Visionary?

I too have met the Sheik. I was a flight attendant on his Gulfstream for one flight in May. Unfortunately, the company that manages his aircraft has failed to pay the agency I work for. Is this the work and responsibility of a "visionary"?

Wisionary

I have met Sheik Saud. He is a visionary. He had many good experiences in America and wants to bring some of these ideas to his own region. He values

the American system of education, which can be a bridge between two cultures.

The region has been referred to as the "Montana" of the UAE. People are friendly and helpful. Many locals prefer living there instead of Dubai. It is safe and prospering. I recommend it as a tourist destination having visited there numerous times. It is also in close proximity to the Musendam region of Oman with its Norwegion-like coastline.
