WHAT DOES A PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST DO?

As an IRS Public Affairs Specialist in Internal Revenue Service your oral and written communication skills are essential for sharing information internally within IRS, and externally through the media. You'll prepare communication plans to meet specific objectives, and then develop such information vehicles as news releases, fact sheets, brochures, graphic presentations, feature articles, exhibits, speeches and personal appearances. You will work with private contractors. You will work with stakeholders to develop and pitch key messages through internal presentations and external media calls.
