Obama to Host a Hawaiian-Style Luau for Congress

WE ARE BROKE !!!
Our country is broke. The Chinese are slowly and quietly buying enormous amounts of gold, and buying it with U.S. dollars. Congress continues it's insane spending and plans a tremendous amount more, and will just keep printing more money. Now I am not a W. Bush fan, but Obama has us on the path to destruction. We are witnessing the Fall of our once great country.
While congress passes the largest tax increase in history with Cap and trade, our media focuses on Michael Jackson. While the media focuses on Bernie Madoff, they say nothing about Fannie and Freddie, who did far more damage than Bernie ever could. They refuse to question Chris Dod and Barney Frank, who most of these problems, and these are the guys now in charge of oversight ! I believe we have hit the tipping point of no return...I hope not, but I fear we are already there.
And our congress celebrates by spending huge amounts of money on a luau...come on. When will the insanity stop ? After they give FREE DOCTORS to everyone ? Some time in the recent past, I guess that became a new right. If you can't afford a doctor...the federal government will take the money from your neighbors and pay your doctor ! When will it end ?
My kingdom for some numbers. Oh wait...
Where are you getting your numbers from? I swear, if I started saying Obama spent 666$ on his haircut I am sure you will say that devil will tax me to hell.
Further more, the last four presidents, Bush Jr., Clinton, Bush Sr. and Reagan, considering that you probably mean the stimulus bill and the T.A.R.P., which was passed in Bush Era by the way, in no way add up to even a fiscal term in office much less seven collectively. Furthermore, the first czar was input by Bush as well and done so against the wishes of a majority of republicans whom advocated fiscal conservatism in the spending spree that Bush Jr. started alone. Given that Clinton not only spent sparingly for the most part, with some daunting exceptions, and left a surplus to boot and Regan actually doing a great job, it is only the two Bush reigns where, I am sure you know, saw recessions during which or soon after that never seemed to be their fault but the fault of the presidents a terms-past or even those of the near future somehow.
Lastly, I never subscribed to the argument to be afraid that Bush used to do what he did. I am an American, and as such I have nothing to fear but fear itself. You see, it is what your doing and what he did where Bush failed the most profoundly. He turned us to a fear-based World that will take a long time to change. Instead of rallying us like FDR did in Pearl Harbor, an event still advocated by Boomers as a still worse attack than the recent one, he did what many experts of terrorism advocated against and lost the "War on Terror" before it even started by giving in and making us afraid. I will not be persuaded to be afraid by anyone, as an American, as you are, it is not in my nature, but thank you for responding anyway. :)
Luau and many, many parties
Hey Sam,
Write back in about six to eight more months when you start paying for all the taxes that are being placed on you. This man has spent more in five months than the last four Presidents together. Besides, hold tight, almost forget, you will have to pay for the 21 Czars that he has also. Then boo-boo that. Hang on -- the real roller coaster ride hasn't even started. When you spend almost $80-$100 thousand dollars every Wednesday to have guess at the White House for dinner and then $150,000 to go to dinner in New York -- Oh, well, you say it is okay. So be it.
Hey Boo Boo- hows about a pic-a-nic basket?
Well, I can't imagine that a picnic, at almost any scale, costs anything more than the six picnics and parties Bush had last year in the White House as well as other locations that included many more guests and party-favors that were cause of some hubbub. But of course, I am not attacking simply to attack and can see why some would be enraged. That, let's be candid.
There is nit-picking at embers while ignoring fires and it is wide-spread. In this kind of situation, it is best to let it be or else risk the chance of once again needing to be reminded that this entire recession/depression/crisis did not begin at the start of Obama's reign, five months ago. If you are mad, for the life of me I can't understand why you aren't mad at the previous regulation-shattering, lobbyist-loving, data-ignoring, bi-war-starting, warning-ignoring, survivor-mocking puppet-man that was the last President.
And I know, see no evil and all that, but if your angry at your assaulter you usually don't blame the next person walking down the street. Also, if you truly disagree with Obama or his actions, take five minutes to state why and support those points with some sort of facts. Try his foreign, domestic or even economic policies for this matter.
Luau for Congress
Enough is enough. The country is experiencing a bad recession, people are loosing their jobs, people are resorting to theft to put food on the table for their family, and our leader "the Messiah" is rubbing our faces in the fact that he and his wife are eating high on the hog at tax payers' expenses. His joke about taking Michelle to Bangkok for Thai food was not funny. His trip to New York for dinner at our expense was not funny. This luau is another case of him rubbing our noses in the fact that he is President and can lavish himself and his wife at the expense of taxpayers.
He professes to believe in spreading the wealth around ---is it only our wealth he wants to share. Why not take that food from the luau and share it with homeless and unemployed people? Why doesn't he tighten his belt like the rest of the country is having to do? He should lead by example. Oh, no -- I forgot. You have to have experience as a leader in order to be one. My bad!
Luau for Congress
I can't believe for the life of me how Obama and his "love to eat" wife can continue to host these extravagant meals when the entire country is going through the withdrawals of a recession they he has created. He has dinners every Wednesday night because they get lonely in the White House and travel to far away places to have a meal at taxpayers expense. What kind of leader is this? When does these high-priced meals cease? This is shameful--very shameful. The democrats have never eaten so well! Is the stimulus (that he never spent) paying for this? What a disgrace national disgrace!!!!!
Congressional Picni
Who is paying for this extravaganza?
Sounds Yummy!
I lived in Hawaii for 3-years via the military and I wish I could go to the luau tomorrow. I miss eating fish for Breakfast, poi muffins and manapua's...yum...
