Democrats Fire Back at Newt Gingrich With Google Ads

Posted June 4, 2009

It all started with two tweets: "Imagine a judicial nominee said 'my experience as a white man makes me better than a Latina woman' new racism is no better than old racism . . . . White man racist nominee would be forced to withdraw. Latina woman racist should also withdraw," wrote Newt Gingrich, whose comments enraged many a Democrat. Now Web-savvy Dems are getting back at Gingrich, four days before the former speaker headlines a fundraising dinner to benefit congressional Republicans. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has bought a series of Google ads so when Web surfers type in Gingrich, Sotomayor, DCCC , or, in some instances, the names of House members, ads like "Say No to Newt" will pop up too. Clicking on the ad will take users to an online petition. "Our online campaign empowers voters to tell House Republicans to denounce this hateful rhetoric against President Obama's history-making Supreme Court nominee by sending a powerful message that Gingrich's remarks have no place in the public debate," says Ryan Rudominer, national press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Extremes

It's a wonder either party can find a candidate for anything, the way extremists take a straightforward statement and twist it into something it's not. When did we become so angry? How does that help our country find her way?

Democrats

Rangel,Dodd, Murtha,Frank, Burris,Vislocky,Jefferson, Hsu(indicted campaign money laundering for Hillary) are justt a few of the Democrat criminals in Congress that come immediately to mind. And then we have all of the tax-dodgers that were nominated by Obama. And the democrats sure attacked Clarence Thomas when he was nominated for Supreme Court Justice. And that doesn't make them racist ideologues????

Ironic

Len of Wilmington of DE, you call the Democrats racist and

sociaist, isn't that the blacken pot calling the kettle...

The Republican Party has always been known to be racist, corrupt and liers. Look at the Republican members in Congress and you will see just how bad it is, you can count the females on one hand! As far as Socialist--that is really ironic, since the Republican Party has been on the dole all their lives living off a "government run" and a "Socialist" system. They get paid and accept their very bloated and generous health plan and pension from a "Socialist" system, that is supported by the taxpayers. In my 70 years I have never heard of or seen any Republican refuse or reject his bloated benefit package. So, before you start calling names and pointing fingers, get your story straight. Plus, who the he--is Gingrich to talk? Here is a man the Republican Party could not get rid of fast enough in 1998, Gingrich, the hypocrit, who stood there in Congress and condemned Clinton for having an affair while at the same time he was having an affair with a staff member---while he was still married!! I will admit the Democrats are just as nasty and dirty as the Republicans but don't write in condemning one party while the other has no face or right to talk.

By the way have you looked at the Supreme Court, corporate America, the trades and any other organization in America that has refused to accept ANY female or minority in its ranks for many years. I worked for over forty years in corporate America and for all those years my supervisors were WHITE MALES until in late 1980 when I got a white female supervisor--shocked the

sh--out of most of us until we found out her father was a VP. I think the white male population, especially the Republican Party, doth protest too much---could it be because it is true? A women would probably make a much better decision than a racist, bigoted white male, of any party???
