Miss California Carrie Prejean in D.C. Talking Traditional Marriage
Carrie Prejean is no shrinking violet. The Miss California who stirred controversy when she said at the Miss USA contest that marriage should be between a man and woman is hitting Washington to campaign for traditional marriage. Tomorrow, she'll be announcing her "No Offense" campaign on behalf of the National Organization for Marriage.
A source close to the group says the campaign includes ads that "will focus on how standing up for marriage elicits attacks from the left and homosexual rights activists. The Carrie Prejean incident further exposes the extreme nature of the push for same-sex marriage as the Perez Hiltons of the world try to claim supporters of marriage and family are somehow bigoted. Ramifications of same-sex marriage court rulings create very real Kafkaesque scenarios, as when Christian photographers in New Mexico get hauled before the state human rights commission because they choose (their right, no?) to not accept business for photographing same-sex weddings."
Here's what the group just sent us.

"No Offense," the next ad in NOM's $1.5 million national ad campaign, will be previewed for the media. What happens when a young California beauty pageant contestant is asked "do you support same-sex marriage?" She is attacked viciously for having the courage to speak up for her truth and her values. But Carrie's courage inspired a whole nation and a whole generation of young people because she chose to risk the Miss USA crown rather than be silent about her deepest moral values. "No Offense" calls gay marriage advocates to account for their unwillingness to debate the real issue: gay marriage has consequences.

Gays can't be bigots? Yeah, right...
"Gays and supporters of gay marriage are standing up for their own and others' rights to live a different lifestyle than the one you espouse. That's not bigotry, that's America."
Let's see...she's been called a "dumb bi***", a "stupid wh***", an "a**hole", and she's been repeatedly mocked for her Christian faith.
Yeah, that's not bigotry because gays can NEVER be bigots, right?
correction to my last
meant to say persecuted by the worldly views,
sorry got typing too quickly and did not check my spelling.
Since I am here, I must say that though it may not be a Religion issue to you, it was for Carrie. Although everyone of you has an opinion which I believe Carrie stated you were entitled to and followed it with a "no offense," then simply gave her opinion on the matter. She doesn't agree with same sex marriage because of her beliefs on the Bible, God's holy word. - Keith
The bible says
Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven. Matthew 10:32-33. Carrie way to stay true to your faith in God, knowing that by doing so you would be persicuted by the worldly views and surely not win the crown of Miss USA. May others learn from you, and God bless you! - Keith
