Why Democrats Are Hitting the GOP as "the Party of No"
At Obama's 100-day mark, supporters blast Republicans for opposing his initiatives
Democratic strategists are launching another assault on the Republicans for opposing President Obama's agenda as the president's 100-day mark approaches on Wednesday.
Billing the GOP as "the Party of No," the Democratic National Committee announced a new website today detailing what a DNC spokesman calls "the just-say-no approach of the Republican Party over the last 100 days" and comparing it to "the president's efforts to jump-start the economy, create jobs, and make important reforms to and investments in energy, healthcare, and education."
The Democrats' "100 days of no" website features statements and video of GOP leaders, including Sen. Mitch McConnell and Reps. John Boehner and Eric Cantor, opposing Obama policies. "The Republican Party remains the party of the past," says Hari Sevugan, press secretary for the Democratic National Committee.
It's all part of a concerted effort by the Democrats and the White House to shape the avalanche of 100-day stories that the media are preparing. That campaign will include a town hall meeting by Obama in suburban St. Louis and a prime-time presidential news conference, both on Wednesday.
A new USA Today/Gallup Poll finds Americans are giving Obama credit for trying to be bipartisan but are less likely to believe that the Democrats and Republicans in Congress are making the same "sincere efforts."
Two thirds of Americans say the president has made a sincere effort to work with the Republicans in Congress on the major issues facing the country, the poll finds, but Americans are less likely to say the Republicans (38 percent) or the Democrats (44 percent) in Congress are acting in a bipartisan manner. These results are based on telephone interviews with 1,051 national adults, age 18 and older, conducted April 20-21, 2009, and have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

Many kudos to the 2 great comments made on the party of 'no'.
Each line item of no is so true and real it is really scary. We really need to speak out more with this type of commenting to our local govs and more tea parties like that fool on tv try to make a joke of. (51% of public favor those rallies and I think it makes his blood boil).
He's afraid as time goes by most all of the public will see right through him for what he is. Greed- he cares about his status and control. Maybe he should take a peek at their daughters at night while they're sleeping and really think what he is doing to that generation. He must love his children...then again they won't need to worry about money because their dad is a 'wonderful author and teriffic actor'.
But he should also realize as he looks in on them, it's not all about money, it's about being able to grow up in such a wonderful free country. For the sake of his own children, if not ours, he must stop this takeover-out-of-control whirlwind policy-making agenda. He must remember----he LOVES his popularity but that's for now. When these massive policies take affect, 4 years from now he will know how bad of a place he has made for himself in history.
Historic...yes...but not the way he imagined...or perhaps tearing USA apart was his agenda. Leaves one to really think.
Changing the Subject
The real reason for the Democratic hyper ventilation is that their successful Presidential candidate, far from being transformational and the greatest Chief Executive since Lincoln, shows himself, every day, to be a garden variety Chicago Pol who specializes in class resentment politics and loves the sound of hos own voice.What else would the Democrats'logically have to say?

Irregardless of which side of the "socialized healthcare" debate you fall on, the simple fact is that the USA cannot afford to pursue ANY "agenda" items UNTIL our economy is back on track. This whole "yes I can cause I'm President now" attitude is burying the USA in DEBT at a greater rate than ANY Administration in HISTORY. The arguement of "building for our future" falls short when we may not have one economically.
The 100 day mark for our current Administration has LEFT US as the most divided, broken and vunerable as I've ever seen the United States in my 50 years.
Washington needs to grow up and attend to PRIORITIES,
NOT AGENDA!
