Rather interesting

Rather interesting. Has few times re-read for this purpose to remember. Thanks for interesting article. Waiting for trackback

Hi there

I think i've seen this somewhere before…but it's not bad at all

The economy

I am an independent voter only because of parts of the Republican platform. Fiscally the democrats don't have a strategy that makes any sense at all. How could a party, supposedly for the working man, come to the conclusion they have in regard to taxes. What kind of fuzzy thinking would increase taxes in an economic slowdown? I know that Robinhood isn't dead but what is the compulsion to make any company that makes money to give most of it to the government to mostly waste on goofy programs that will, after they are created, be in the system in perpetuity. I think the reason for this is to continue to be reelected, In other words buy a lifetime in the congress of the United States. That brings up the real need for term limits. In my view term limits are the most important tool to remove people who have lost touch with the people of this country. The politicians really believe they understand what we need no matter what we try to tell them. Please for the good of the country help turn a new page by voting out office holders that are professional politicians. Starting over with new office holders would keep the old boy syndrome from happening again. That is the real change that everybody should embrace. In the meantime contact your legislators and tell them your thoughts if they don't here from you don't complain about the results.

New Direction of the GOP

As I was driving to work this morning I found myself thinking about the future of the Republican Party. I am a veteran and currently work as a history teacher. Having studied all of the elections and presidents and observing the recent movement of the Republican Party I must say that I am disappointed. I also am not one to criticize without offering a solution. Why don't the Republican try to recruit the American working class? The hard-working, bill-paying, tax-paying Americans who run this country are the one's who the Republican Party need to go after. We are the ones that make all of this possible. The social welfare programs are leading to the deterioration of the American dream and progress in this country. The transition is being made and soon the workers will be the few, and the free-loaders will be the many. I believe that the Republican Party should give the working class and the wealthy a voice to revive the American dream of "If you work, you earn what you have. If you don't work, you get nothing."

Thankyou

Thanks for your suport for our country,I love my country but i dislike what the government is doing to it.Im not much for words but I have a bad fear of the near future.Keep it up .Thankyou Ray Friedlund

Republican Party

For 51 years I was a registered Republican. I didn't always vote a straight ticket as voted for who I thought would actually work for the interests of the American people. Last month I changed my registration to Independent due to corrupt and self-serving people in government. The Republican party is no different and can't seem to police their own ranks or agree on any type of platform. The party has become every bit as corrupt at the Democrats. This is the first place I've found where I could at least write to someone. Everywhere else just wants a person to send in a contribution and all the mail I still get is the same and emails. I don't see or hear of any grassroot movements where there is true involvement of the people except for contributions. I want to know just what the platform and plans are and not just the same old rhetoric. I'll remain an Independent, but I am interested in finding political views and persons I might be able to vote for. They certainly aren't with the Democrats, but I don't see The Republicans offering anything either. I am very concerned about the future of our country and right now the future is looking very bad.

From a Difficult Position

Michael Steele, I believe might be under his desk in the fetal position repeating i am sorry Rush, I am sorry Rush, please don't hurt me. he should of had the courage to stick up for his comments and beliefs. I believe he might of had more support then he thought.

Porky Pig

Oh how sensitive the RNC Michael Steele attacked Rush LimPig. However when Rush LimPig attacks everyone around him, let me see, blacks, latinos, jewish, muslims, boys and girls, and President of the United States all of a sudden he is a good Porky Pig. Mr. Steele you should have never took that job it will be your downfall because if nothing else I would perfer to be broke (I am not) before I bow down to a Porkus Pig Limbaugh who is uneducated, ex druggies, blowhards, ignorant, secret pedophile.

Mr. Steele you have lost your cred....Sorry.

ReThinkTheGop

I think its great that we are having this discussion and that its in the public eye. Truth is, its time to rethink the GOP. I'm proud to be a Republican yet I do think that we need to change with the times. The landscape is changing and we need a better strategy. In fact, Republicans need a better Web 2,0 strategy and when you have a minute check out my two cents on my blog:
