Looking Back on President George W. Bush's Troubled Presidency
Reader Comments
Thank You For Your Service Mr. Bush!!!!!
Good Ole George' Mission Accomplished' Bush,
a president that failed at everything, he attempted. He couldn't even keep us safe, (remember 9/11 anyone?). Liberate 50 million people???? What?! Now if he said liberate Iran to make them a regional power, free to openly pursue a nuke, I would agree.
Good Ole George 'Wanted Dead Or Alive' Bush.
Osama who? he says 'Osama is not that important' in 2006. What happened Decider??
We finally have a POTUS who can articulate complete sentences. Not a bible- humping idealogue with a war criminal as his #2 man.
Thanks Georgey!! China thanks you too, as we now owe them a trillion dollars because you want to fight two misbegotten wars while cutting taxes. China is now the richest planet on earth. Double thanks!
Thanks again Georgey for showing the world that are military has severe limitations of what it can and cannot do. Iran wanted to talk immediately after the Iraq invasion, but your radical ideology disallowed diplomacy. Damaging the US superpower mystique permanently.

@ "I admire President Bush's willingness to sacrifice public approval for unpopular issues he took a stand on. Too many politicians base their decisions on public opinion instead of deciding what is best for the country. Our constitution has designed a republic style government instead of a pure democracy so that our leaders have the freedom to make the best decisions. Undoubltedly our former president made mistakes, but I for one am inspired by his commitment to principal over popularity. Thank you Mr. Bush."
Please tell me where you got the idea that the US President is elected to ignore the will of the people and make important decisions about what's "best for the country" without listening to anyone else's views. He works for us! He is SUPPOSED to listen to "public opinion" that's what he is there for, not to be some kind of daddy figure who is allowed to do whatever he wants because it's his house and we while we're under his roof we have to do what HE says. The problem with Bush worshipers is that they love to scream about how patriotic they are and how everyone else is a traitor, yet they demonstrate time and time again that they have absolutely NO idea what the office of President or Vice President stands for, they don't understand the Constitution, and they don't understand how the branches of government work (as evidenced by their constant whining about how Obama is a tyrant who will usher in Islam as a national religion, legalize gay marriage, and force women to have abortions). The President does not have absolute power, nor will he EVER have it. Too bad you Bushies didn't know that when YOUR guy was in office. You are afraid of Obama abusing/seizing power because you guys spent eight years supporting Bush doing these very things, and now you're afraid Obama's will return the favor, but you can rest easy, he is too busy trying to help this country recover form the last President's destructive policies to be worried about seeking revenge on you guys. Relax.
W's legacy
Prsident Bush's legacy is his vision of a peaceful and democratic Middle East, not today, but 30 years from now and beyond. He recognized that you can not change this generation of children and men raised to hate America so you have to defeat them two ways. First militarily to contain them and prevent them from doing harm to innocent people. Second through creating a safe and democratice environment that will allow the next generation to experience the pursuit of happiness, the effects of prosperity, a peaceful existence, and the rights that God has given them to be free people. That is how you counter the constant propoganda and indoctination of hate and violence spewed by those seeking to crush anyone different from themselve, targeted at the poor and uneducated who are most suseptable and easily exploited.
He is a man of courage and conviction, not a creature of media and hype willing to compromise his beliefs and values to gain popularity. He was willing to sacrifice his name and legacy to fight for a better life for the people of the Middle East and our world. As a conservative, I disagreed with many of his domestic policies, but I truly feel we were blessed to have such a man as our president and a true leader of the free world.
Thank you Mr.President.
w the lowest form of terrestrial life
This cretin was a demagogue bent on gathering power, indelibly stamping his misguided principals in the minds and on the cultures of nations all over the world and a catastrophically selfish and myopic coward who hides behind words like 'values' and 'evil' hoping that the dubious contrast he created would render his enemies world pariahs, while he would be viewed as a savior. He is incurious, uneducated and thoroughly simple. He flagrantly spat on the professionalism a president should have while taking more vacations at the most INOPPORTUNE times because he did not care about anyone or anything but his image. He was,is and will always be an attention whore.
Rumor has it he even went to local hardware store to yuk it up with people. The man cannot stand not being center stage. He is a catastrophically stupid or criminally psychotic. You choose.
Thank you w for making the world more chaotic, ruining the economy at home and abroad, for ignoring intelligence that would have lead you to the correct terrorists, for letting o.b. laden escape and cause more death and carnage in other parts of the world and finally for wasting BILLIONS in unaccounted money on a war of aggression we should not have entered.
Thank you President Bush

Thank you President Bush
For keeping us safe from another 9/11 attack and having a Harvard degree means you are stupid--where is your degree? And congress was stupid to pass the votes for the war right?
Amazing how people listen to the Media and SLN; instead of facts; oh yeah: Pelocsi is a charm blaming dereglation on Bush and the media jumped all over it; when it was Clinton's fault. No one wants to look at Congress at all; let us blame the president! When they tried to pass regulation and a democratic congress refuses. Let us see how well Obama fares compared to Bush in the long run!

History is the Judge
The Years Bush is utter failure as the results and consequences shows. At the foreign office front the American Foreign policy is a total mess and failure and also economic front it led to a Global Depression.
Finally no true international problems solved but aggravated. Neither democracy truly established or freedom of worship and human rights are in the worse shape world wide.
The system of World Bank / IMF CONTROL over many underdeveloped areas not produced a mess but also left many poor.
Neither any African problems also solved as the war and diseases aggravated everywhere.
Because of their aid to dictatorships and short sighted policies it has no moral right over democracy.
It's a failure at domestic / international and as well as failure at individual level. But surly it's a sigh of God's punishment over the world.
The Bush Legacy
1. Preemptive wars in the name of democracy and freedom.
2. Doctoring or deleting scientific findings to match one's political beliefs.
3. Politicizing the Justice Department.
4. A hands off policy regarding the Israeli/Palestinian war resulting in the needless death of thousands.
5. Disregarding laws that don't correspond to political beliefs.
6. A wanton disregard of the Constitution of the United States.
7. Torture and the establishment of a concentration camp on foreign soil.
8. The inability to kill or capture the biggest mass murderer of U.S. citizens.
9. Using taxpayer money to support religious organizations.
10. An 8 year delay in the progress of stem cell research in the name of religion.
11. The loss of over 400+ billion dollars to fight an unjust war.
12. Katrina.
13. The deaths of over 4000+ U.S. service men and women.
14. Harriet Meiers, Douglas Feith, Alberto Gonzales, Dick Cheney, Scooter Libby, and Donald Rumsfeld.
15. The destruction of the environment, clean air act, and endangered species act.
Yeah, great president.
What's Wrong With W -- George W. Bush's Troubles And Legacy.
By: Jordan C. Fan, Prophet Of Environment
To be fair, George W. Bush may well be one of the better presidents in recent U. S. history. He is much better than everyone from FDR onward to Clinton and certainly a million times better than Obama who will be the worse president in U. S. history and also the worse leader our world has or will ever have. If I said from FDR on, it means all U. S. president we are familar with.
The reason for W's greatness is that he allows the price of oil and other natural resources to go up which will provide a fair opportunity for those oil and natural resource national to develop economically into other areas.
Those other areas for nations who have received money on their oil reserve can be on industrial development, infrastructure, education, environmental protection, etc.. Higher oil prices will help the Environment because there will be less consumption, less waste and less development and expansion into the wilderness.
When an oil & other natural resource producing nation is in great need of money to run its country, it has no choice but to lower its oil and natural resource prices to compete for cash income. I guess the best way to stabilize oil price and make it higher is for OPEC and other oil producing countries to have alternative income. With alternateive income from other sources than oil, then they don't have to depend entirely on oil for money to run their countries. Therefore, they don't have to lower oil prices to compete for sale.
May be that is the reason why the United States were trying hard to put other countries into poverty and insatbility in the past, especially those with huge natural resources. George W. Bush or maybe his father may well be the only U. S. president(s) who have been doing something good for those natural resource producing nations.
G. W. Bush's first mistake was to hire all Blacks for his foreign relation departments. To start his administration, Bush used Colin Powell as Secretary of State and Condi Rice as Foreign Policy Advisor. After firing Powell, Bush still insisted on using a Black woman - Rice as Secretary of State. Together, Powell and Rice have initiated numerous foreign policies which made the U. S. failed on all fronts. Quite obviously, they are all spying for Democrats especially when Powell is currently endorsing Obama. Since the Secretary of State also control U. S. embassies aboard, they can make it much easier for Africans to immigrate to the U. S. whereby increasing the population of voters who will vote against the Republican Party. Bush were to too greedy in thinking Iraqi oil can bring them great fortune. Saddam Hussein had problems making money from his oil reserve during peace time. How can Bush get profit from oil during a war? Even before Bush took office, the United States was already in a recession. The U. S. government was simply presenting fictitious economic figures to recover up their financial troubles.
