Did you see the horrible news about today's Miami shootings with the masked gunman?

sarah palin's and hillarys unfair treatment by the media

Most definately they were treated unfair. Hillary should have dumped the Democratic Party. I know she has worked all her life for them, but that humiliated her dignity and her intelligence. It probably also affected her pride. Palin was attacked, plus her family, and handled it by turning the other cheek. It was not Palin's own party that dragged her through all of this grabage. Both are very smart and just plain good people who love their country and were treated extremely unfar by media and most all talk show, tv and radio hosts because they are women. I even heard sexist remarks made about Palin by David Letterman on his show. He is such a gentleman.

Hillary Clinton & Sarah Palin Victimized...Borderline Bull-Spit !!!!

Sarah Palin had better stay in Alaska...

She had better Produce that [Alaskan-Candian Gas Pipeline] that she Falsely Claimed was already under Contruction, when there has been no piece of Pipeline laid on that project and the Canadian Gas Company are not bound to building this Gas Pipeline and the Native Canadian indian are also Blocking this Agreement, based on it going through their land . .

Not to mention, there's a Big Oil Corporation who is currently Building a Gas & Oil Pipeline in Alaska, while Palin waits on Canadian Litigation, revolving around the Canadian Litigation and the Native Canadian indian Land Dispute, revolving around their land and this proposed agreement with Palin & Canadian Company.

Palin had better get that [Gas Pipeline Project] going before she ever thinks of going for Any Political Position, because if she does not bring this [Gas Pipeline Project] Fruition, her A!! will be Exposed even moreso as a Liar, Fraud and Fake, that she currently is.

Palin had better not [Pardon] Ted Stevens, because if she does...

Her Fragile & Sensitive Political Career will have the Stake Driven it's Red Heart, regarding National Politics, such as Congress Woman or Senator.

I have the Suspicion She will [Pardon Stevens] based on what he knows about her via the Various Earmark Millions and the Jack Abramoff, Stevens & Sarah and Todd Palin Connection.

Her career will then be OVER in Politics as far as running for President or Vice President.

Look for 1. PiYush [Bobby] Jindal, 2. Tim Pawlenty, 3. Charlie [The Closeted-Down Low] Crist and 4. Mike [Arkansas Baptist] Huckabee as the Next [Bleeding Bloody Red Republicans] to take a shot at the White House !!!

Sarah Palin will Not, I Repeat...Will Not be a Factor in 2012

If she does Not [Pardon Stevens] maybe a run for a 2nd Term as Governor and Cheerleader for the Republican Party, thats it !!!

Her Political tactics work well up their in the yukon, but does not bode well in the [Lower 48]

The Undisputed .......Truth

About Palin

I absolutely agree that the media was overtly biased against Clinton and Palin, although most of the bad press was concentrated on Palin. She was in a "no win" situation with the press, but she handled herself with confidence and professionalism. She will be an interesting political figure to watch in the coming years. Go Sarah!

Obama was canonized by the media to the exclusion of other candidates, male and female. It will be interesting to see how Obama is treated by the press once he gets into the reality of being president and actually has to do something besides vote "present." Let's all hope and pray that his shallow talk and shrewd political fundraising amount to something worthwhile for this country.

To Johanna

You wanted to know about the "issues, know the positions of the candidates, about their biographies, about where they grew up and who their life influences were".

I recommend that you visit your local library or a bookstore. Most of the candidates from both parties have written books - bios or about their lives of service. I'm not sure, however, if Governor Palin has authored a book - although I have heard rumors of a book to come. To be perfectly honest, I got a better feel and learned more about the candidates from their one on one interviews, by reading their books and by their appearances on late night tv, than from the media.

As far as this election's dirty politics or sexist campaign - get used to it - nasty political campaigning and a tilted press is part of our great history. It's been around since the birth of our great nation and evolves as our social history evolves.

Until 2012, I'll wish the current administration Godspeed in getting our nation back on top and do everything I can to help.

Go America!!!!!!!

Is anyone surprised?

Journalism in America has become a commercial industry and reporters try to make up news and tell people what they should want to know instead of unbiasedly reporting on what people actually want to know.

Their treatment of Hillary (called by first name only to not confuse any of the dim bulbs who think Bill is the only Clinton) was fine two years ago, until Obama threw his hat in the ring and became the new flavor of the month. Then they turned on her and made sexist comment after sexist comment until Obama was nominated.

Palin was a new flavor and there seemed to be several fact-finding and decent stories about her, until the polls showed that McCain had received around a ten point bump and was ahead of Obama. Then it became attack story after attack story. I couldn't watch any news program due to feeling like Obama had used his $650 million to pay for the salaries of those so-called journalists.

I wanted to know about the issues. I wanted to know the positions of the candidates. I wanted to know about their biographies. I wanted to know about where they grew up and who their life influences were. Instead, it seemed all that the TV folks could concentrate on were who had a pregnant daughter and how much was being spent on clothes. Those issues have nothing to do with how the new people will govern this nation.

Obama, Biden and McCain all seemed to get a free pass on the true dirt in their backgrounds (Rezco, Ayers, Plagiarism, Keating 5) while Hillary and Palin were raked over the coals over minutia. Hillary was as solid a candidate as Biden or McCain and Palin is as qualified as Obama. They sure weren't portrayed by the media that way, though.

All women should turn off the TV or turn the channel when they start hearing sexists comments made by journalists. Follow it up with a letter demanding that TV commentators and personalities show some respect and quit demeaning candidates to effect the outcome of elections. Tell the to stick to journalism, not pandering and promoting. I couldn't tell the difference between The View, Oprah and Nightly News this year.

It'd also be nice if women showed some semblance of sisterhood and could see beyond their partisan rancor and bile. Hillary and Palin should have had far more support from women of the opposite parties than they received. I was particularly disappointed in the so-called feminists and woman's organizations that did not support the ascension of a woman to the second highest post in the country, particularly because there's a good chance she would have been President given the age of her running mate!

That's shameful on them and shows they are ideologues interested in their own agenda rather than the actual success of the diverse pantheon of all women.

Women Say That Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin Received Unfair Treatment in their Political Campaigns

I agree with the poll wholeheartedly. It is going to be quite a long road for a woman to win a major office, even a vice-president's! Neither Sen. Clinton not Gov. Palin got the respect or credit they deserved! Part of the blame is with most women especially the young, belieiving more in the abilities of the male candidates than the female counterparts. That is just mind-boggling! Who else is going to support these women if not women? After all it is common knowledge that it takes a lot of effort and time to convince men that the woman is usually right :-))! Women must lead by example to change this trend.

Fair Critiques!!!

I think the media did their best to cover both Hillary and Palin as fair as they could but both proved to not provide too much to work with. From Hillary's outlandish exaggerations to Palin's lack of knowledge, the media had no choice but report the ugly truth. Hillary was so enraptured with herself and being touted as the smartest woman on the planet she began to create falsehoods about her exploits and experience ad nauseum so even the most open minded had to wonder what planet she was hoping to impress. Palin while being chosen as a last minute candidate could not even bother her shopping schedule to research the office she was seeking. The annals of history record many capable American women in politics from Bella Abzug to Ann Richards yet I cannot recall any who provided such poor performances as these two. The golden rule of politics is that when in doubt, shut up!!! From dodging bullets in Kosovo to Russians violating Alaskan airspace these two bobble-head dolls did a disservice to women everywhere. Could anyone imagine Margaret Thatcher or Angela Merkel putting on such shameful performances???

Sad two months in our history

Afer the way women were tried in this electin by women, "especially that nut Dowd" I am embarrasssed for women.
