wall street bailout
Fool the taxpayer once (about weapons of mass destruction)
Fool them twice (about response to Katrina)
Are the taxpayers being fooled again with the Wall Street bailout?

Why push like Bush? How about more careful planning than we have seen from him? Take more time in making this historic change in the way we do things, PLEASE.
700 Bail Out Plan
I believe that quick action needs to be taken in order to make matters worse and even catastrophic. However, trying to beat the clock without making sure something like this will never happen again is essential. Measures have to be implemented to guarntee the security and sability of our economy. Time is essential but so is getting it right.

impartial view of mortgage activity
The recent mortgage crisis arose because a small percentage of US homeowners sold their homes (for cash), two or three years ago, at prices approximately 20% to 30% higher than what currently appears to be sustainable market prices for US housing.
So the core issue behind the current mortgage crisis is primarily "disillusionment" (= removal of false illusions); and Wall Street itself has not caused financial pain to an impartial "average" of all housing buyers and sellers..
For every recent purchaser of a US house, there is another person who sold that same house at a ridiculously high price. Those house-sellers, by definition, have already reaped a financial windfall equivalent to whatever financial losses are currently taking place in the US mortgage market.
Bailout plan
It is pretty obious most if the comments come from those who know nothing about economics but are upset that those crooks running the big financials are making more money then they are. I don't like it either, but if we all stand around and complain about the rich, you will get your wish; they will be there at the bread line with you. Some people don't realize that if you take the ability away from corporations to borrow, either you or your neighbor won't get a pay check. Companies just do not have cash on hand to pay current bills, let alone expand to compete with foreign competitors. We need the banks and firms that raise money for corporations not to fail, and if you think everything will be OK if this bailout does not pass, than you probable should get your gold coins together. Let's hope congress uses their heads on this matter immediately and worry about politics later.
bail out
DON"T DO IT
I think the Rich will get richer on my tax dallors and thats just not right why else would everyone worry so much about it and of course Mccain would worry about it he has 7 houses his wife is rich of course I would worry about itif I were him
Are you freakin' kidding me?!?!?!?!?!?
I have bills too! But they are bills I created and mismanaged, though I don't feel that it is someone else's job to clear my debt. I think it's sick that these RICH executives are asking for handouts! I am a hardworking single mom that has never depended on the government and I am paycheck to paycheck. I don't feel like I should have to pay for RICH people that are pissing other peoples money away to rebuild their wealth. I think Bush is the biggest idiot of all and should be impeached!!!!!!!!! How in the world did he become President again?!?!? Oh yeah, he cheated! Just like he is trying to cheat the regular people who work their butts off for their money so that he may GIVE it to his golf/hunt/fish buddies! I'm not going for that! I think that we should give Bush/Cheney the proper farewell~ IMPEACHMENT!
