Taco Bell

Well at least at Taco Bell you are required to work. Something

most Fed and State workers haven't done for years. When the taxpayers are on the hook for phoney baloney make work State jobs should they work. Just put in your time and the taxpayers are required to fund your retirement. Bunch of loosers....Schwarzenegger is correct, but he will never be able to make it stick.

jobs

i wonder does the govenor know how hard people are making it with gas crunch, jobs lost i wonder what he would do if he couldn't fill his gas tank oh god forbid the governor senates had to take a minimum wage, how would they live and let alone have a HMO, you guys take a lost for once have a crunch where you can't pay bills stop giving everybody in the country and give to home, the USA gee's how long do you think we can keep struggling hit the rich oil companies leave us alone let us work thank you Bonnie Peoples here is my email but i won't here from you we are just the tax payers bonfiree@earthlink.net

Slashing Pay of Government Workers

What we should do start is slash the pay of ALL our Senators and Congressman,Representatives,Governers, the president and vice president--all in the Bush administration. We are in this mess because of Bush, who did not know how to run his administration, who gave billions to Helliburton and its subs. If not for Bush and his Republican Congress we would not be in this situation. Why should just the low-income and middleclass suffer. If they (Republicans and Democrats) had done their job we would not have run-away deficits, a mortgage meltdown, an economic recession, skyhigh gas and food prices, TWO on-going wars costing taxpayers billions a month, a government in such debt we are being forced to cutback on desperately needed social programs. The idiot politicians got us into this stupid mess they should be the ones to suffer not just us down here. We didn't make the decision to go to war, Bush did with the consent of both houses and both sides of the aisle. Let them all carry the burden not just us.

My dad is a state working and is not lazy. He works really hard. There are many lazy workers but its unfair to say all! So basically you can work at taco bell for 13 dollars and hour but state employees make 6.55. wow!!

Pay cut for state employees

Thanks Chris of Az for saying I'm glad he did it. I couldn't have said it any better. State workers are lazy!

mortgage mess

As more homeowners face foreclosure, government sponsored programs are becoming available to help struggling homeowners remain in their homes.

As it is today, I have a domain name of mortgagemenders. However as plans changed, I no longer have a use for this name.

With the mortgage mess still unraveling, mortgagemenders may be useful for a group or individual in identifying themselves as a contact source to help burdened homeowners. If anybody has a need for this name, contact: kmonnie@verizon.net

Cutting out the Democrats

Seems to me a lot state "workers" are basically flunkies for the Democrat party whose job is to obfuscate change. This is the perfect excuse to get these feather bedders off their duffs.

PJ and lyla, you guys are fools. PJ, it is not a tired mantra that people are fleeing California. Care to know where most new Arizonans are coming from? The answer isn't that hard. You live in the state that is bordering Arizona, and it ain't New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado, or Utah. That's right; it's yours. Your state, with one of the highest state income taxes, highest property taxes, highest sales taxes, highest use taxes, highest local taxes, and you're saying that that is a tired mantra? Please. And you state my point. You cut programs and make sacrifices, but obviously you and lyla have thrown in your weight behind the state workers. Guess those so-called "poor" can go find a way to support themselves.

lyla, if you don't understand things, then you shouldn't comment on them. And ad hominem attacks isn't going to win you any favors. You say I don't care? Wrong. I do care. I care about the millions of Californians who are being taxed to high heaven to support this program or that program or this project or that project, plus pay taxes for the state employees.

By the by, you don't know me. I am not rich. I'm about to lose my house, my wife is filing for bankruptcy, and I pay out the nose in gasoline to get to and from work. However, I see with great lucidity that my problems is mine and mine alone. I don't need additional pressure from a government who wants to more and more of what I make and then tell me how they are going to spend it. Everyone should be ashamed that we have gotten to this point where we now justify the right of government to take from us, spend for us in the name of our benefit.

One more thing, the governor does not pass a budget. The state legislature does. So if you want your momma to go back to making a reasonable state salary, you better tell your momma to tell those idiots in your state legislature to get busy on developing a budget that involves a lot more spending cuts than tax increases. All of California needs the relief, not just those 200,000 employees who are mad because they are making minimum wage.

Which brings me to one last point. It's so ironic that for decades, liberals were pointing out how the minimum wage is needed to help life people out of poverty and now that state employees are making it, they don't want to be paid it because they've become accustomed to a profligate lifestyle. So much for practicing what you preach. You have achieved pay parity and pay equality, now you don't want it. Unbelievable.

Slash jobs and salaries in California!

ALERT! Do not produce energy by Americans! Import it from countries that don't like us so you can enjoy high gas prices!

Export American JOBS!
