Add to CA Woes

Since the fiasco oil drill passed and california's politicians and it's tree hugger groups said they will sucessfully keep any and all drill rigs off their coasts, I think all california gas and diesel products sold should have an additional $1.00 per gallon federal tax added at the pump or point of sale.

This money would be collected by the Feds and distributed to the states that encourage oil and gas drilling. Then let the actual people of california vote for the politicians that fit their economic model of better living...

Bushonomics

". . . President Bush urged consumers to keep the faith amidst reports of a slowing economy. . . ."

Voters wanted a faith-based presidency. Those who voted Bush into office deserve the payback they're getting now.

The way out of a bad situation is to act!! Get rid of the self-serving corrupt politicos, and start with a new bunch of crooks.Remember , the politicos don't want you to steal, because they don't want competition. The first to go would be that numb skull who identifies herself as 'nancy pelosi'.As an anti-AMERICAN, she has done more harm than good ,for california and the UNITED STATES. She is opposed to drilling for oil in our waters because there is no INSTANT gradification. If every one would do nothing(?) because there were no instant results for doing something, we would still be living in caves. Are her highly profitable vineyards the result of over night plantings????? The next to go would be barbara boxer. She is a LOSER and has been from day one!Life is short, the easy way out of the delemma, is to move out of the state.I have no regrets having made that move some ten years ago, never to return.GOD BLESS AMERICA, california is on its own.

JR of MO....

You are exactly right. However, some Californians have been goaded into feeling compassion for those that are now part of the problem. Look no further than here for some proof.

Gosh, I wonder why?

Up until recently was a lifelong resident of that beautiful state and economic reasons were what forced us to leave.

The problem with California financially is that it's fiscally irresponsible. It's citizens vote for prop after prop that requires financing. It's legislature votes for bill after bill that requires financing...And then the world says 'what is wrong with the seventh biggest economy in the world?' and they scratch their heads. How could a state with this many people and this much money be in such trouble? So many resources, from talent to technology, at their disposal and they still can't pay their bills?

California is a big teenager that says "how can I be overdrawn, I still have checks??" They have a 'good idea', but they don't ask 'who is paying for this?" NO ONE asks, who is paying for this, ever! They just stick out their hands...

The average citizen of California has been nickel and dime taxed to death. And they certainly don't want to give anything up if they're on the receiving end of a program. Once a program is instituted, it's there even if the state were threatened with going under. Oh no, we won't cut that budget in a real way.

The problem is that the state had the unrealistic expectation that every 'good idea' could be paid for. Well, folks, not ALL of them because no one can afford all of them!

The only way to cure this is like how you deal with your own finances successfully. You make choices. You make choices BEFORE you write a single check. You don't write checks that your body can't cash. You have to tell your kids 'sorry, not this year, and maybe not ever'. You pay off your debt and cut the fat so that you can make it.

As long as California insists on remaining a teenaged spoiled mall brat whose daddy buys her everything, they will remain in this boat. This isn't rocket science this is basic math. You don't spend more than you have. Even if that means we stay home this weekend. Someone has to be the strong one around here, and although I saw a hint from Arnold in the past, he buckled under the pressure from special interest groups.

No one wants to tell the truth because it's political suicide. There isn't enough money in the world for everyone's good ideas. And there are going to be a lot more people going under because of it. People of California, put down the plastic and look in the mirror. It's time to grow up and pay off your bills.

RENEGADE CONGRESS SCHEDULED FOR MAJOR HEAD SURGERY

Congressional health being at an all time low indicates that the Kennedy Liberals and Reagan Conservatives have set a date with the guillotine for the desperately united Leiberman Neo-Lib and Podhoretz Neo-Con dominated Congress, for the their notorious subversive Neo-Marxist contempt of Christian Culture and Constitutional Law.

For the illegal Iraq War for Israel, for the illegal Mexican occupation, for the sacrificial killing of children, for the outsourcing of jobs and technology to China, for the subprime loans and stock trading scam, for dependence on fossil fuel, and for the blooming recession and inflation; the rallying cry shall be, “Off with their heads!”.
