biased

The reader comments in this website are mostly inclined towards McCain's campaign. Some readers have delivered racist sentiments in their posts, which is very sad to read. It does not directly affect me as I belong to neither of those two contrasting races. However, the posts have put forth the possible reasons of biased political supports in certain states.

warning you

i am just warning you i dont want it to happen but im afraid someone is going to kill obama if he wins so im scared

I think that everyone is being too biased. If certain things were ment to happen they will happen, no matter what president we have. Tradgedys happen it's a sad fact of life. The candates need to stop convincing other people who to vote for and ask themselves if their worthy of the vote.

OBAMA SOCIALIST

Obama is not only a Socialist, who wants Americans to hand over their hard earned cash, in a grandiose scheme to redistribute America's wealth ... he spent 20 years listening to the anti-American, racist sermons of black liberation pastor Jeremiah Wright, which were based upon Marxist ideology ... along with his wife and two children ... and they still attend the same church, listening to the same anti-American trash!

US Gluttons

Its already obvious that Obama is an emtpy shell. He is a Poster...a campaign button, a beautiful present with a nice bow--but there is nothing inside.

Some people are so stupid--all you have to do is print up a card that says "CHANGE" on it and they turn into drones.

McCains resume reads like one of the founding Fathers but people dont listen to the masters of music..they listen to Pop..they listen to Britney Spears. Look how that turned out.

People dont want Wisdom..they want glitter. With their big screen TV's and their SUV's..they cant stomach people who would sacrifice for them. In our current culture--WWII would have been won by the Nazi's because we would have told the president he was a murder when the first 4000 fell.

500,000 died for america and the people didnt waver because they were just like the men fighting. Today, us gluttons cant accept that such men still exist. Even now, when more people die from getting struck by lightening than US troops in Iraq--the gluttons still say PULL OUT..let the Iraqis get slaughtered, let all the progress be damned, because I cant bare the guilt any longer.

Folks..more people die from bad beef and cosmetic surgery than US troops in Iraq. 85 million people die every year. How many die for something? WE know for sure that at least 4000 did. If we listened to the Democrats--who said "Immediate withdrawal ..The War is Lost" a year ago...those 4000 would have joined the others.

We stopped a man that not only attacked every one of his surrounding nations but who was responsible for over a million deaths--a MILLION. So put down you starbucks coffee and stop calling Good evil and the evil just misunderstood. The world is a bit more complicated. Their are still men that have Honor..even if you dont have any.

Why would anyone vote for me (John McCain)?

I'm old and out of touch with reality. I have a 1950's "bunker" mentality and people tend to think that I'm a jerk. I flip-flop on the issues and have a political philosophy much like a socialist. I am really not that different from my opponent Barack Obama; who is also a socialist. I have a problem controlling my anger; which is a bad thing for someone who is running for president. I really have no agenda except to keep the war in Iraq going for another 100 years and to make my rich friends even wealthier. I know that Ron Paul is right on every issue, but I can't say that because it would be admitting that I am wrong. I really hate the idea of small government and following the constitution because that is what Ron Paul talks about and I wish I were as smart as he is. I can not possibly win against Obama because I am not popular like he is and no one wants to give me money. I am going to get my clock cleaned by Obama; a guy who speaks well but says nothing. Then again, I don't have much to say myself so maybe I should listen to Ron Paul more often. I know that it is too late now to change the way I am, so I'm just going to run my "campain of fear" and hope that I can scare people into voting for me. That is really all you can do when you are John McCain!

Let's ask the Iraqis

"Withdraw Now!" "Bring the Troops Home!" "Stop the War!"

Regardless of whether or not we SHOULD have occupied Iraq (hindsight is always 20/20, remember), the point is we're THERE and Iraq's entire fledgling democratic infrastructure depends on us being there.

When all these politicians and protestors vehemently oppose the "war" they forget that we're not fighting a clear enemy on a battlefield for a piece of land far, far away. We're trying to hold a country together (yes, a country that we chose to occupy), and leaving unconditionally, giving up and flying the coop means the destabilization of the ENTIRE country. I'm sure that's not what the Iraqis want. The one thing no one over here ever asks is, What do the Iraqis think?

That's just the kind of egocentric thinking that makes everyone hate us, and both sides are guilty of it. Forget politics, forget ideology, we need to focus on what is practical and fair, regardless of how the situation began. We CANNOT completely withdraw from Iraq. The notion that we ever could is FOOLISH and IMMATURE.

And if I ever here "Make love, not war" again I think I'm going to scream.
