Washington Whispers: McCain-Rice Ticket

Condi for VP

Doesn't balance the ticket. Won't bring large numbers of women or blacks to the party. McCain views her as part of the problem with the way post-Saddam Iraq was mishandled. If he is willing to forgive and forget her, how about Romney?

psssst.... Jim Dandy:

1) Condi was NOT head of the NSA

2) She had no part of the infamous interrogation discussions or memos

Next time do a little research, buddy.

McCain and his probable V.P

But a conservative black woman is sooooo tempting as a way to trump those darned Democrats who keep trying to run either a black or a woman.

Nah. Too much backfire risk from too much association with Bush.

Prediction: McCain will choose Huckabee to try to "capture" the church vote (that he does not deserve due to his wife's massive beer business.) It might even work for him, but if it does, we should disdain every one of those evangelical protestant McCain/Huckabee voters as completely insincere. There is no way under Heaven that God is calling his followers to elect beer peddlers as the First Family. In his old Baptist pastor days, even Huckabee would have been obligated to preach exactly that. But in a newer role as politician? Well, that's "different". Or is it? If it's "different", why would that be so for Bible believers? Would we have to assume God couldn't find anyone else to bless for American leader but a man married 25 years to a beer business?

""Enhanced Interrogation Techniques" otherwise known as Torture Techniques."

My best guess is that its people like this that accepted Clinton saying "It depends on what the meaning of IS is." but want to argue semantics about what Chimpy-McBush-Hitler does to keep terrorists from setting off nukes in our cities.

Torture is like porn - you know it when you see it. Giving someone an aggressive bath... not so much torture.

national treasure

Are you kidding me. She's accomplished nothing in Washington. Condi go back to Stanford.

Yes a good option.

Her support of "Enhanced intrrogation techniques" should IMPROVE her electability. McCain is hardly McBush, drastically different oration, demeanor and a sharp shift to the left (from Bush). A combo of McCain Condi would be powerful and less likely to be marxist or fundamentally socialist as both the DemPresCandidates are. Get out of Irag... ??? sure but in a responsible way that doesn't leave us with utter retreating coardly failure. A balanced disengagement approach is far more likely to come from the right of center... but NOT the far right. Her warmth and honesty make her profoundly appealing from a political stndpoint - I fear she is way too smart to accept the position though. Were she to accept, the Dems would be sooooooooooooooooo miserable.

Condi 4 VP

She has more talent than either Rodham or Barry and more experience meeting world leaders than them also. Barry can't pick a decent pastor after twenty years and Rodmam can't pick a decent husband. What a f"oolish cabinet" will look like from either of them is what I expect. Both are flawed to the nth degree and weak mentally.

Go Condi Go.

Torture Would Torture the Ticket

So many people seem to forget that early on Condi was the Head National Security Agency. It has been reported that she personally sat in to the discussions about the "Enhanced Interrogation Techniques" otherwise known as Torture Techniques. That alone should make her unelectable and would drag McBush even farther down in the polls. Does anyone truly believe someone with her record of disasterous results in any job she has held would help McBush ? Maybe the Neocons that still live in their Orwellian fantasys might vote for her, but that is about it.
