McCain: Going Where Republicans Fear to Tread

John McCain is planning to take his GOP presidential campaign to places that past Republican nominees have ignored or given a very low priority. His strategists say he is considering visits to poor African-American neighborhoods in New York and Los Angeles and areas hard hit by job losses such as the rust belt, Appalachia, and New Orleans. McCain advisers promise a new level of outreach across the board.
