Fun Facts About Illinois

  • Chicago's oldest registered voter is 114 years old. Her family doesn't have anything documenting her age but says she just recently celebrated her 114th birthday.

  • This year will mark the earliest date ever for an Illinois primary. In the past, the primary has been in the middle of March.
  • Only 25.9 percent of registered voters voted in the March 2000 presidential primary in Illinois. The turnout was among the lowest in the past 40 years.
