Presidential Continuity Despite Party?

Being a boomer, looking back at history is fraught with disappointment arising in part from the JFK Assassination while still in high school, to the Nixon pre-impeachment resignation to the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, and now the Middle East War that has comprised the "learning experiences" of millions of boomer-age citizens.

To the extent that former Presidents engineered, or tolerated, if not encouraged those events, they are very much a part of the Presidential inheritance, if not legacy, of living Presidents.

The ability to place in perspective political party influence in those events is critical to envisioning a future where both parties have common goals, and can afford to work together to achieve those goals; and that is where prior Presidents can make great strides in achieving unity, and a cohesive republic, even if limited by current administrations from having too much influence.

If former Presidents cannot resolve and reconcile their differences, how can Americans who are the recipients of Presidential judgment and decisions?

Indeed, an American future that has promise and potential may well depend upon how well the former Presidential Club coordinates its sentiments to help rather than harm America, and few are better equipped to understand the American Experience from the perspective of their own impact upon Americans while in office, the result of excellent and continuous coverage provided by journalists and administrative personnel assigned to the jobs.

This outreach was merely a show that he has humility and is open to advice. Think again! It is his way or the highway.

It is high time that we stop trying to make this a racial issue. His race is not the problem but his leadership is. Do not be fooled into thinking he doesn't know what he is doing. He does and he is beginning to show his true colors. He wants to RULE this Country. He wants to rule with an iron hand. The sooner we the people realize this, the better off we'll be.

It is time the press opened up and showed him for what he really is. But I lament that it will cost some of them dearly. Hospitals and pharmacists are already beginning to feel his iron hand.

I see a lot of people still criticize the democrats for the cause of problems even after years of taking over congress, but no one said anything when there was a republican in the chair running this country into the ground. I wonder if anyone would slam Obama if he was a white pure American and not mix with black and Muslim.. goes to show that a lot of people still believe in the white man's burden...

this is not a gift given to Obama over the last 8 years.the problems America faces today started when Americans voted in a majority democrat congress about 4 years ago. remember some simple thoughts. before the democrats became the majority Gas was less than two dollars a gallon, unemployment was as low as it had been in years, wall street was at an all time high. this gift given to Obama was created by democrats so don't pin these problems on the last 8 years because they started when democrats came into control in congress.

What A Guy!

All my life I have supported my President...regardless of party. However this is one person (President?) I will never support because he is what most people are begining to see with their own eyes, a bad choice. His idea of change is going to destroy this Great Country in the long run. And as for getting advise from other Presidents...Carter and Clinton are the only ones that are qualified too advise, because they are the only ones that faced Impeachment proceedings. Impeaching Obama now would be a move by this very sad group best known as the Congress of the United States! I would like our Congress to establish a new Zcar to impeach obama's including Mother-In-Law from our Highest Office! He's never been the right man for the job..maybe in twenty-years or so he'll know what he is doing(?)!

Clueless in General

If that does not prove once and for all that this empty suit is a CONMAN.All he needed to shoplift the Presidency was to hustle enough self absorbed millenials,burnt out Woodstock survivors and every black voter (living & dead) on one day in November.This is the freak show the Democrats have passed off as the new face of America.The "One" does'nt even possess the style or breeding to ignore a fly.Perhaps one of the former Chief Executives could have one of their staff discreetly inform him that a truly powerful figure would have someone dispatch the next fly.There will be more no doubt...

Shows no sign of listening though...

Too many Americans seem to have a limited knowledge and understanding of history including Mr Obama. A nice media ploy to "appear" willing to accept advice when his actions dictate otherwise.

All Presidents inherit "issues" either directly or indirectly.

The proof of leadership determines whether they make things worse or better.

Mr Obama has stuck hardheadedly to "his Agenda" even though the NEEDS of our Nation have changed dramatically since his inauguration.

Americans of all races are beginning to wake up and notice that all this Government growth and spending looks FAMILIAR.

Carter was the last REAL Democrat and we got Inflation, 16% Mortgage rates, 10% unemployment and a Military so weak we couldn't even get 2 Helicopters to Iran to rescue Americans from Obama's new buddy.

I think it's wonderful that President O'Bama recognizes the wisdom and knowledge his former precessors have. He's not going to be able to please all Americans, as there's a great deal of hostility towards him becuse of his race. Every American knows that the Republicans hate him and probably wants something to happen to him. It doesn't matter that he's seeking counsel from a Republican President as well as Democratic. The conservative element of the Republican party and American conservatives will always find something wrong with any plans he has. It's sad that he has this difficult task of Racism to deal with as well as his presidency. The Republicans have forgotten how they endorsed anything the former president wanted. I pray that the president will walk steady, use a "Big Stick Attitude and that he will pray before any decision-making occurs. If he had any office available and offered it to the Conservative Element of the Republican Party they wouldn't accept it as they really do Hate him.

America has forgotten that he's 50% White(his mother is white), and 50% Black. He can really feel the infirmities of both races; however, do you think that he's going to get respect when you have FOX_CABLE NEWS & Sean Hannity along with Rush Limbaugh spending all their energy to make disparging remarks against HIm? One can see the effects of this type of Racism stirred up by the Holocaust Shooting due to Coded Words like the term "Real Americans". The whole world knows this also and America's Enemies plan on taking full advantage of these attitudeds and actions.
