Obama's Battle With the Liberal Wing of the Democratic Party
There are some signs that Obama is starting to generate serious opposition from his own party

we are in such big trouble
We must stop pointing fingers and blaming one another. This country is a mess and is in a no-win situation. We the american people with voting rights, and an interest in the outcome of this nation must quit blaming and begin working together to make this country what we want it to be. The devisiveness caused by one sector blaming another is what is preventing us americans from digging in and making things right. Instead of welfare, lets give out education credits. Instead of making it necessary to institute a national health care program, lets allow hospitals and doctors to treat what needs treated without fear of malpractice suits. Instead of pushing government involvement in the schools and education, lets let the teachers and parents figure out the way the education system should run. Give control back to the people. One person, one vote. No electoral congress, they simply allow special interest groups to choose who runs, and who gets elected. We need to reduce government involvement, not increase it. Who is going to buy those little gas-efficient 2-person cars the government is going to make GM produce? Not anyone with more than 1 child on a sports team, or more than one child period. Then GM becomes even more money in-efficient, and the cycle becomes larger.
The only way to fix this is for Americans to do what they have always done. PULL TOGETHER, despite differences in color, race, or creed. America is at stake. We must fix this mess and work together or the U.S.A. will be no more.
Nonsense
Step back into reality please. Iraq did not attack us. Neither did Afghanistan. The former leaders of Afghanistan (the Talibam) did not attack us either. So who really sees what the wars of today are about - you or the evil left?
What Obama Slipped Into The Supplemental Appropriations Bill Last Week
First we were promised that no longer would the wars be off budget. So much for that promise.
Text of H.R.2346 as Engrossed Amendment Senate Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2009 Making supplemental appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2009, and for other purposes.
http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h2346/text?version=eas&nid=t0:eas:700
Within that bill is an amendment, the new Graham-Lieberman secrecy law:
The White House is actively supporting a new bill jointly sponsored by Sens. Lindsey Graham and Joe Lieberman -- called The Detainee Photographic Records Protection Act of 2009 -- that literally has no purpose other than to allow the government to suppress any "photograph taken between September 11, 2001 and January 22, 2009 relating to the treatment of individuals engaged, captured, or detained after September 11, 2001, by the Armed Forces of the United States in operations outside of the United States." As long as the Defense Secretary certifies -- with no review possible -- that disclosure would "endanger" American citizens or our troops, then the photographs can be suppressed even if FOIA requires disclosure. The certification lasts 3 years and can be renewed indefinitely. The Senate passed the bill as an amendment last week.

So much for CHANGE & transparency.
Obama's a fraud.
We Liberals Have Created This Monster (Obama, Pelosi, Reid, & A Democratic Party That We Allow To Act Like Republicans)
We liberals make ourselves irrelevant when we "give Obama the benefit of the doubt". Why would we? No one on the other sides of the issues are giving Obama the benefit of the doubt, and he's satisfying their demands. If we don't take our issues seriously, it's a permission slip to Obama that he doesn't have to either.
Every day is one day closer to the 2012 election, which means the only time a President satisfies the base is in the earliest days of his administration. Thereafter, he has to please those to the center and beyond (in this case, to the right) to win reelection. If Obama isn't fulfilling his promises to the left now, he never will.
This was the Clinton plan, the Sister Souljah moment, where Clinton blew off the left and said in effect, "You're going to abandon me? Fine. Who are you going to vote for? Republicans?"
Obama's attitude is essentially the same. And more; to replace the voters on the left with moderate Republicans, hence the effort to keep pressing "Rush Limbaugh is the leader of the Republican Party" effort.
Obama is no stateman, no visionary. He just what Reverend Wright said he was: A politician.
And we on the left guarantee that Obama's term in office is Bush's third term when we keep his approval ratings high. Why would he do anything differently when those poll numbers remain high?
We are our worst problem.
Obama left or right?
Obama/LBJ? No comparison. Fighting a war in Vietnam against communism? (1967 on) with thousands dying every week compared to just over 4,000 in 8 years with our wars today? Not even close. Also, we are fighting countries today who have attacked us, not a war about ideology-Vietnam. Also, the youth of America today is not the same burnt out, acid head, anything goes, weak mentality they were in the 60's. People today actually think more and can see what our wars in the present are really about. Additionally, the Congress, no matter how much they supposedly hated Bush, usually voted and funded every request for the war effort he made. The left hated Bush? No kidding? The left hates anything and anyone who stands for any moral issue or any issue which may have force an enemy to actually suffer when they attack us, always hoping for some utopian world which has never, and will never exist. The liberals have created a cancer which is destroying he U.S. Obama just looks at the facts, consults his advisers, and does what is best for the country as a whole. Conservatives and moderates overwhelmingly supported Obama and that is who he is catering to-not the garbage on the left, who is now exposed for the vicious, cowardly, sickening agenda(s) they have been promoting since the 60's which has ruined a large segment of this country and is taking years to repair. Only now that most see what the far left truly stands for, and the destruction they have caused, can we begin the monumental task of rebuilding this country and removing the smoke screen that the liberals started in the 60's. I am the dictator and I approve of this message. www.dictatormovie.com
Mens rights,Or the lack of them.
What I want to know is,When will men actually be treated like fathers.instead of paychecks.Be given equal time with there children.Be able to betreated like a US citisen instead of someone to milk money out of,And treat like well nothing important. Its all messed up,I am all for womens rights to EQUALITY.But not at the expence of EQUALITY for men.All we are to thi country and women are tecnically slaves.Work and pay,But no rights toyour children unless the mother wants it.oh sure a couple hours a week to play withyour childrenand pay out half of what you earn after taxes.to a government agency.so they can colect interest and a 2dollar fee fromevery man in the country.Ive gotten tired and ready for a REAL CHANGE.If a man tries to (DO the right thing)He is chastized for it.Her is how women are taking your life from you.The only way to stop it is STOP FUNDING IT.Thats what i am going to do.They probably wont let this post through. After all its not feminist enough for them. And not popular. And the truth.
LIBERAL VS CONSERVATIVE ANALYSIS CAN'T EXPLAIN.
Talking about conservative vs liberal conflicts may be the only way that the media can analyze but it is better to talk about how Democratic Party can enact the policies that are advocated not only by liberals but by wider public which determines fortune of parties. What Obama administration wants to accomplish is to implement what amounts to a social revolution. Even that is use of misleading labels, but leads to point that once revolutionaries assume power they have to then become consolidators. Figure out at what pace and how to actually take what exists and change it as fast as possible. Some of what liberals want cannot be enacted by legislative votes, even if majority are Democrats, because the public does not support.
Congress will not bring up topics such as gays or immigrants until there are majorities. So liberals want Obama to just do it on his own through executive regulations, but it would be foolish because the media would turn the public against the Democrats. So there has to be creative tension as to how change is implemented. Of course the media has to have fun in stirring up minor controversies. As time goes on, the process will be obvious. Both Obama and Congress will find better and better ways to get public to appreciate needed reforms. A big problem is that lobbyists have too much power because they fund elections. It is already holding up medical and military funding reforms and will impact all areas.
"President Palin" - A Huge Mistake!
Sarah Palin lacks the intelligence and perspective to lead this country though complex times. The Republicans do need a leader, but I doubt that it's her. Sarah Palin would do better as the host on a Fox political news channel.
Heartbroken
I am a Yellow Dog Democrat. I thought that, once we got Bush out of office, his henchmen would be gone as well. But President Obama kept most of them in his attempt to please everyone. He has pleased no one and we are no better off than we were before he was elected. He is still allowing Homeland Security to terrorize our own citizens and is not making friends in the international community. I was so angry last week about some of the things he should be doing - but isn't - that I was literally in tears. Calling himself a "centrist" is just another word for being too afraid to do the job he was hired for. He isn't up there for both sides to "like" him. He's up there to fix this mess and kick out the criminals who got us in it in the first place. If he isn't going to do what he told us he was going to do, then I quit. He wants us to work to make the country better? I will when he does.
Obama and the far left
Yes, while nationalizing our money center banks and giving two of the domestic auto manufacturers to the UAW, there are some areas where the President has acted with all citizens best interests.
I do not think that disagreement with this Administration's policies makes one a racist or an ultra consedrvative. I decry the name calling of those who wish to silence any dissent.
I am concerned about the nation's future. As the majority of the economy falls into government hands, and the majority of our citizens become disconnected from a market economy, we will drift towards mediocrity - joining the Europe of the 1980's and 1990's. I hope that enough Americans become alarmed at the direction this Administration wishes to take the country and makes their voice heard. I do believe that the majority still believes in the capabilities of the American spirit if it is left to its devices and armed with a good education.
