Obama and Race Relations: Civil Rights Leaders Aren't Satisfied

Hmm... It is quite strange how pigs would fly when America has a black president. And now, the swine flu. Wow. The swine flew, all right.

Wake up people!

Why would anyone think that the election of a Black president a hundred days ago would change what has stubbornly hung on for the past 2 or 3 hundred years. Prejudice which continues to reenforce itself thru the media, television and most aspects of daily life cannot be defeated while the stereotypes of Blacks continues on a daily basis in most aspects of our lives. Blacks themselves continue to feed these views by buying in to these stereotypes. We continue to run around with our pants dragging on the ground, fooling ourselves that looking like a criminal is cool. We lament the lack of any shows on TV showing real Black life of any kind that portrays us in a positive light. The Blacks with money who could put shows like this on TV instead choose to produce shows that continually reenforce stereotypes about us because it sells, but to who, few of these shows last more than a season or two! No it's going to take more than an occaisional positive racial blip on the screen of race relations in this country to change the widely perceived views held by mmost of White America about Blacks!

By the comments observed on this article it would appear that the poorly educated students of today(those that remain in school)

aren't the only ones who don't pay any attention to daily news or to history or much of anything else if they have to read it. Or they would know that the swine flu has been around for many years it didn't just appear when Obama took office a hundred days ago!

I was working on contract here in New Hampshire and a Manager who was from India decent hired all people of his race only. I overheard him in the bathroom I understand their language a little and he was stating 'Why should I hire from America we can't benefit from that'

Americans Are being Discriminated by INDIA

Allegis/Teksystems and other consulting firms and corporations that were supported by the bush administration to turn America into a service state type by allowing business to outsource foreigners namely from India to take over Americans Jobs by H1 visas. These foreigners are blackballing Americans and discrimating them on the job by badmouthing them or only hiring people from that country. This is why so many Americans are out of work. walk this earth who's motives were beyond question,

Black Leaders

First of all who are these so called black leaders? Why do black

folks have to have a leader we are all LEADERS in our own right. I f you are a Father, Grandfather,Uncle, Son etc...

then you lead in your household, your neighborhood, your towns,

and cities. If you go to your childs school and sit in the classroom, get involved with their work and the school itself,

if you get involved in issues of your city or neighborhood, if

you buy sell or own a business then you to are leader.Send your

child to HSBC'S(HISTORICAL BLACK COLLEGES)you are a leader.

When you show love and encourage somebody black you are a leader. Stop looking for some messiah and look to self. I for one go to juveniles, jails, and prisons to encourage and support

are brothers so they wont' give up when released, that is leadership.If you speak out against injustice, drugs, apathy,

self reliance and responsibility and encourage folks to teach, train,love,raise, and love their children that is LEADERSHIP !
