Knights of Columbus & "under God" in Pledge....

In the l950's era of Catholic Sen. McCarthy, when socialists were blacklisted out of the State Dept. & all sectors of the communications media, the Knights of Columbus successfully lobbied Congress to add "under God" to the Pledge. The motto "In God We Trust" was put on our money before that. Why did Christians do that? They did it to FORCE children to HEAR, SAY & READ the word "God" most of their lives. They were expected to believe there are no atheists & that everybody bows heads and prays. It was done to make children believe nonexistent god exists, so they'd give money as tithes to churches--as kids and when they go to work. "Catcher in the Rye" was banned because schoolboy Holden says he "must be an atheist." Believers didn't want kids to even SEE the word "atheist.' As more people graduate from college, they realize they were lied to about religion. That's why so many religious families send their kids to church schools. They don't want the kids to lose faith. But gradually, the population of the USA is becoming more secular. Eventually, successful lawsuits will remove religious contamination from the Pledge and money. The nation will once again be "indivisible."

I will simply write out a few scriptures for those supporters of HOMOSEXUALITY who feel "We (believing Christians) now live under the new Covenant...thankfully--so the passages in Leviticus are not applicable for the Age of Grace--we're still sinners--just saved from our sins by Jesus' vicarious death on the cross."

If a person has lusts that are wrong..Biblically.... then if they do not act on them they are not being a sinner.....

If a person is gay and refuses to act out is he/she a sinner?

We don't live under the Old Testament rules

We (Christian's) don't live under the Law of Moses. Jesus fulfilled the law and died on the cross of Calvary for all sins for all people for all times--however the New Testament makes it very clear that the free gift of salvation is available to anyone who would put their faith and trust in Jesus and believe he is who he says he is.

This is only for people who want a personal relationship with Jesus. We are exhorted to lead Godly lives and to avoid sin.

Gene Robinson divorced his wife and committed adultery with another man with whom he continues to live in open adultery. Not very good credentials for being a Bishop.

So how many of you "christians" who responded to this story have worn clothes of two different cloths? How many have resisted selling your daughters into slavery? How many little gardens had differing crops planted side by side? And how many of you, back in your glorious teen age and early twenties, jumped into bed and had pre-marital sex?

Undoubtedly 99% of you - and, as a result, each of you has violated some passage in Leviticus.

Thank God that our family wised up after the Episcopal Church started going against the Scriptures and we left the Episcopal church and started attending a Bible-believing non-denominational. It's not about the liturgy, it's not about politics on the altar, it's not about the canned prayers for every social issue that's currently sweeping the nation, it's about the Word of God. Gay people do not belong leading a Christian church. It's Biblical and it's a sin that's lived without repentance. It's like slapping God in the face. He loves everyone even though we all sin and fall short of God's Glory, but for leaders who are supposed to be living my example this is wrong, just as it's wrong to be living with someone you are not married to.

Dr. King and the "God I pray to"

Any true Christian knows that God loves every soul. AND because of that love needs His children to live rightly in His guidelines; which includes NO sexual perversity (i.e., a man lying with another man...an abomination to God) I find it extremely disrespectful to the memory of Dr. King (a true Christian!) to allow such an act to happen where he gave the I Dream speech. I pray that Obama will make better decisions while he is in office for the sake of our country.
