Bush

To make a point and push their agenda Demos and the press asalted the Bush PRESIDENCY LIKE NEVER BEFORE. Some of the remarks were criminal what ever happened to respecting the office of the president I did"nt agree with all of the things he did but he was still my president. Our country and standing in the World were damaged more by the comments against Bush than any of his actions we should be behind our leader to the World and express our disagreement with our votes. I personally would like to see the press report the News not continuely editorilize it with their own opinion. I am not an Obama suporter but he is our president and will have my support until I can v ote against him.

WAIT AND SEE

Right or wrong Bush was one person who stood on his convictions after 911. I will be the first to agree after putting a great deal of money in the treasury with his tax cuts he could not stop spending. We will soon see the the stemulus package that is propsed without change will do nothing about creating jobs but will only raise taxes leading to more government programs loaded onto the backs of hard working americans.

Not a Bush supporter but a Republican supporter

Why defend him?

There is nothing to defend. He was a colossal failure. He succeeded only a perpetuation fear. He put friends in top jobs, failed to regulate and ignored our laws, had no vision and lined his pockets with our 401K funds. He was the Texas Cowboy that robbed us and ran off to Texas, leaving us with NOTHING.

The fact that people still try to defend him is truly scary.

I can't wait to vote for Jeb Bush in 2012/13 or whenever we all vote again.

U R Sew Rong!

Iraq is free. Ben Laden's on the rum. Obama is no longer a senator. Although the economy is a mess, it wasn't Bush who messed with another man's money. Bush wuz the best president we've had in the last eight years. Screw all them who disagree!

Being Judged By Americans

The historical assessment of GWB will always be associated with far more failures than his administrations limited successes. He can not be happy with the prospect of going down in history as perhaps among the worst president to have ever served the american people. My guess is he'll retire with burdening reminders of just how inept and ill-suited he was to have ever thought he could be a president with enough executive intellect to govern. I'm sorry, Governor of Texas just wasn't enough to reassure his many critics. By the way, I think he is a good man that did in fact have the nations best interest at heart. Unfortunately he lacked true leadership quality. GWB is a follower, not a leader.

Bush given up

GEORGE BUSH IS NOT BEING GRACIOUS HE HAS GIVEN UP.THE BANKING CRISIS I THINK WAS HIS LAST NAIL IN THE COFFIN OF HIS TERRIBLE ATTEMPT AT LEADERSHIP.BUSH GAVE UP ANY RESPONSIBILITY WEEKS AGO WHEN OBAMA HAD TO BE THE FACE OF CALM BECAUSE ONCE AGAIN BUSH WAS AWOL.FACING OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE THAT THE REPUBLICAN AGENDA HAS ONCE AGAIN TAKEN THE AMERICAN MIDDLE CLASS DECADES BACKWARD BUSH HAS DECIDED TO TUCK TAIL AND RUN.

So Dave

I repeat, what was supposed to be done to prevent it other than:

--Preemptive military strikes

--Shutting down airports/major cities (not to mention how long)

--Enhanced anti-terrorism measures, like say, the Patriot Act

I guess that only leaves whining to the UN that we got this little memo would do the job, right? Yep, they'll take care of it!

"Also, Bush also kicked out the UN weapons inspectors, who were on the ground and DOING THEIR JOBS in his RUSH TO WAR in Iraq."

You mean like the Oil For Food scandal? But I'm so glad you and the U.N. KNEW Saddam and his sons weren't a threat, despite a post 9/11 state where we didn't know who was what.

September 11 , 2001 happened while Bush was President

September 11 , 2001 happened while Bush was President. Considering how incredibly INEPT his administration was, I have no doubt they ignored all 9/11 warnings. Condolezza Rice ignored the memo about terrorists using airplanes as weapons of terror.

Also, Bush also kicked out the UN weapons inspectors, who were on the ground and DOING THEIR JOBS in his RUSH TO WAR in Iraq.

Proof?

"U.S advises weapons inspectors to leave Iraq"
