President Obama

Vacations

President Elect Obama is a man of the people and enjoys being around us. President Bush is a private person and seems to enjoy his solitude. Nothing wrong with how either of them enjoy their time away from Washington. All of can enjoy our own vacations however and whereever we want, so no reason to be critical.

For the person who critizes PE Obama's ears and asks where he got them: God CREATED Barack Obama and blessed him with his ears. Are you PERFECT in your own being?? NONE of us is perfect physically, all of us have something that is not perfect. So, please lay off the criticism of anybody elses imperfections, or those which YOU think are imperfect. Take a close look at own body, perhaps you are overweight (something you can control). We are born the way we are born and have NO control over long noses, thin lips, crooked eyebrows, one foot a little bit bigger than the other, etc. What you see as "imperfections" contribute to our uniqueness. Think about it.

Obama

Please tell me how it is valid to compare the vacationing styles of a sitting president for 8 years (Bush) and someone who is not yet president (Obama). If, for example, Obama purchases a secluded vacation home during his presidency, would not the entire analysis and precedent for this article become pointless?

Please get a clue and be in a position to comment before you actually do.

Vacation Styles

The worst president in U.S. history lives in a buble. He wants minimal interactions with the public. He hates being questioned by the press or public. His instincts were wrong virtually every time and at some level he knows it. He hopes history will prove him tight but if he really had vision he would realize history will judge him very harshaly.

Obama seems to want feedback from the public. His instincts seems to be considrably better. He has had the opportumity to live in the real world. Lets all wish him the best!!

I Don't Think Things Will Change That Much!

I am pretty sure the Secret Service is already protecting the President Elect and I'm hoping they are being extra careful.

Obama's style is not framed in secrecy like Bush's style is. Bush masqueraded as a regular guy you would enjoy having a beer with. Obama actually is a regular guy you would enjoy having a beer with but in addition you would be mesmerized by his intellect, empathy, and graciousness. Attributes sorely missing in our current president.

It's going to be nice to have an emotionally healthy President

George Bush is a frightened guy and it shows - the isolation he has shown during his time in office just reeks of FEAR ! Finally we've got a good guy with some real health. We are going to need a healthy President to get through the next few hard years in this country and I have faith he can do it with grace. Let's all pray for President Obama stand behind him in this the very toughest time in America.

Vacation Styles

With Bush leaving the White House for good, this opens up an entirely new perspective on how Obama will handle living there and at the same time vacationing in Hawaii.

I only hope Obama keeps his free-wheeling additude of vacationing after he is fully our president. It would be a shame to see him shelter himself so much like bush did so that public don't see the natural side of the Obama legacy. If being in the public eye so much as Obama has been, he should do his very best to continue this practice as much as possible.

wait until he's president

Comparing Obama's last vacation as a senator citizen to Bush's last vacation as president is like comparing apples to oranges. Just wait until he's president, then the secret service will forbid much of the openness he now enjoys, on top of which he will start to want to have some privacy for his girls and his wife from the news media. The news media will snesationalize little things which willforce barack Obama into less open vacations.

Obama needs to take a leaf from the GW Bush presidency

It's just not right for a President to be stressed out. I think that president-elect Obama should look at the Bush legacy and arrange as much vacation time as possible during his presidency so that, like President Bush, President Obama will always look chipper and well rested. Also, Obama should go to bed early and get lots and lots of sleep like our President Bush.

Presidential vacations.

I don't think the author of the article was prejudice at all. Obama's vacation style is more what most normal Americans like to do on their vacations. Taking their children and their friends out is a fun thing to do and others can join along, sure beats clearing brush and riding a dirt bike. A lot of people I know also enjoy their workout at a gym, perhaps if Arnold saw how Obama looks he would have had some kinder words to say about his fitness. We are going to have one of the greatest presidents as he is a man of the people!

Thoughts of a genius

Wow gorgoroth, what brilliant insight. It sure is smart to go to war and kill thousands because, "after all, he tried to kill my dad" (a direct quote from Bush the second).

How dare you compare WWII with this idiocy in Iraq? Ask those 80 million how free they feel.

How smart of you to have figured out that the democrats tanked the economy on purpose.

I agree with Kirk. You must have one hell of a job, and it's certainly not teaching spelling or intellectual depth and curiosity.

So who are we going to attack next because some right wing fool thinks they're hostile? Don't you think, perhaps, an unprovoked war is itself a hostile act?
