Inauguration Invitation!!!

I received my invitation to the inauguration yesterday which I am unable to entertain but it gave me a "Mr. Smith" moment to reflect on the signifigance of the gesture. Many years ago I had the opportunity to visit the Lincoln Memorial at midnight to capture the ambiance of greatness and sense of purpose so well portrayed in Capra's movie. While unable to attend the inauguration at present it is my deep desire to once again have that moment when I can once again bind with my nation in the privacy and intimacy of the midnight hour. It may sound corny yet made me realize the significance of our nation and the flag which represents us all. The blood toil and tears of the red stripes, the pure intent of our founders in the white and the promise of opportunity in the blue as the sky's the limit to all we as Americans can accomplish. While I cannot join the masses to celebrate this great day in person, in spirit I shall be there, standing at Uncle Abe's feet, reveling at the promise of our great nation.
