Sure, mankind has been known for its destruction and bloodthirstiness, but what do we say about the missionaries who go into third world countries offering medical aide and love to little children? What do we say about people who are like mother Teresea?

As for believing in humanity, your own comment contradicts your beliefs. Why believe in a group of intelligent (in your case nonintelligent) beings that continue to self-actualize themselves in war and crime? The Crusades have nothing on what Stalin and Mal Pot did to their own people, and they were atheists.

Concerning Israel, I doubt that Israel's God will let her go into oblivion before the end of the world. I believe that that whole world is beginning to see that Israel is not going to put up with terrorism any more and will fight for her existence.

Hey John of AZ, I know what could be simpler than Israel relinquishing territory: leaving Israel alone!!! Who will decide where the Palestinian state boundaries end and where the Jewish state of Israel will begin? No matter who decides the boundaries, there will be Palestinians complaining that Israel is still occupying their land. So wouldn't it be easier to say that Palestine lost its right to forming a nation that coexists with Israel because it launched an attack against a small group of Zionists who declared statehood in 1948? Also, if Israel's neighbors do not want Israel to exist at all, why will it make them happy or peaceful if they relinquish only parts of Palestine? Wouldn't they rather that Israel, and all the Jews for that matter, cease to exist altogether?

Now Mr. Ray Fisher of NM, these "Dark Ages" as you call them have not been all that bad. The recession has been felt for only this year and is not completely the Bush administration's fault. After all, Senator Barack Obama ought to have known or at least done something in order to point out that the economy was about to go down hill while he was in Congress. If Obama is this lax during Congress, I dread to wonder what he'll do in the White House.

Sam of NJ, I have already commented about you sir in couple of other articles on the same subject. Let me please remind you again sir that because Israel is a Jewish state, it will be more favorable to the Jews. This does not make it right, but it does make sense. A communist nation is more likely to support its communist thinking citizens more than its capitalist citizens. Please also to remember that since Israel is a sovereign nation it does not have to listen to the UN, who has no military strength and must rely on the US's military to enforce its regulations. May I add as well that the US is Israel's ally.

St. Michael Traveler of CA, I do believe that all nations deserve the right to defend themselves. However, if Iran was to receive any defensive weapons, that would hamper Israel's ability to defend itself from one of her greatest enemies. Israel has yet to claim that Iran or any other Arabic nation should be wiped off the face the earth, unlike Iran who has said just the opposite about Israel. As for Palestine, let me repeat that Palestine has lost its right to nationhood because of its hostile attitude towards Israel since the day Israel was founded. If we hope to have peace in the Middle East (which I doubt will ever occur), the Arab nations need to stop supporting Palestine and let the Israelis and Palestinians to handle this affair on their own. If the other Arab states continue to harass Israel, it would be in the US's best interests, both honorably and morally, to protect her ally Israel.

Obama's Advisors

Solving the problems there will be a cinch for Obama.His crack team of Middle East Experts all agree that despite the fact that neither Syria , the Saudis or Iran or any Palestinian faction has been willing, in 60 years, to say that Israel has a right to exist, they are all more than willing to live peacefully with it just as soon as it relinquishes all of its territory. What could be simpler?

Entertaining Ideas!!!

Obama's willingness to entertain ideas other than his own will be a huge boost in all areas of our world. The world is in "Countdown Mode" now, waiting for the Obama Presidency and the hopes he brings. We have too long been an island of arrogance in our policies while open to all with our trade. America is facing many challenges from food safety, recession, credit meltdown, unbridled job losses, etc... and it will be wonderful to rejoin the world community, entertaining ideas, implementing changes and prospering once again. I am very hopeful that the "Dark Age" of ideas will end in 30 days!!!

Peace in the Middle East: Arabs, Jews and Persians

Israel has expressed concerns about the possible sale to Tehran of S-300s, sophisticated anti-aircraft missiles that could be used to foil airstrikes against Iranian nuclear sites.

We have provided Israel with long range nuclear capable aircrafts in addition to assistance in developing nuclear bomb. Should Iran be capable to protect herself from Israeli’s airstrikes? The S-300 is a self-defense missile. As long as Israel would not attack Iran, then there should be not any need for Iran to use it.

We can not have peace in the Middle East, unless we force Israel into a respectable agreement with the Palestinians honoring the human dignity of all the regional people.

The international community must provide a defensive shield to all nations in the Middle East, including Iran.

The region must be a nuclear bomb free-zone.
