Why we fight.

I can assure you, that during this firefight and the action as described, they were not waving the Flag, thinking about America first or who is right or wrong. They were only considering saving their comrads. For your fellow soldiers, you will sacrifice everything, if necessary. These men are nothing less than hero's. Remember, we put them in "Harms Way". I'm sad to say, that 5 yrs. from now, these men and especially those we've lost, will be "little known and long forgotten".

A still angry veteran.

Love our Soldiers!!

I am speaking for "silent" Americans who never speak out. We silent Americans are soooo proud of our military who are out there fighting for their country. We need to speak out and congratulate them....honor them....THANK them!!

who is the enemy

As long as we keep thinking that we are right and other are wrong, we we will be fighting all over the world. Peace will only come when we consider others as our own. Unless we learn this lesson, which we will eventually, we will be fighting that guy, who is bad, because he does not think like us.

Peace never comes cheaply

In a world where life for too many persons is very cheap, it is very heartening that their are still those who are prepare4d to sacrifice their lives for the good of all humanity. They are the real heroes. They are the ones whose acts of courage count. So keep on fighting for what you believe.

my heroes

Our soldiers are my heroes! Keep at them soldiers.

Commendations & RESPECT Im surprised by your comments. As a christian you should realize you dont help others and do for others with the idea that they will give you something back, you do it for the personal enrichment and for the simple idea of helping others.

Heros

As a veteran of Desert Storm and former Marine, I read and listen to these heroic events that happen to young men and women and it amazes me that some people still don't get it. As the greatest country in this or any other world it is our responsibility to defend and protect the innocent victims no matter where they are. I don't care if its Samolia, Iraq, Afghanistan, or New Orleans. It is Americans and our government that has the ability and resources to get the job done. Now the problem we have is greed. To many people look for an angle to get what they want. If you use other peoples suffering as a way to gain assets then I believe you are a terrorist of humanity, and should be dealt with as a terrorist. So if your name is Madoff, or you profit from humanitarian aid, or you add a little extra to the goverment contract, then you need to lose the rights you have been given. It embarasses me when I hear that an NBA team is worried that they might not make a profit. That an executive from one of the big three only made millions instead of a hundred million. I would like to ask them, "how do you look in the mirror and like what you see"? How can you read a article about men putting their lives in one another hands and knowing that they will be alright because they are the greatest men our country has to offer and not feel something. It is not the CEO's, polititions, athletes, or rich that make this country great. It is however the 18 year old kid from smalltown U.S.A. that jumps on a landmine to save his buddies knowing he will never go home again. Well enough of my rant. I would finally like to say "great work men, you fly boys are alright"

Commendations & RESPECT

I do NOT think it is the business of the USA to "Patrol & Fight" all over the world.

There is simply NOT a war we have been in outside our borders we should have been. We are not the 'police force' of the world. For our young men & women who lay down their lives for other countries requires MORE than respect/prayers & those 'infamous' 'care packages'.....

There will ALWAYS be wars & rumors of war....that is BIBLICAL. We simply cannot 'police' the entire planet. Its come to the point the rest of the world EXPECTS us to sacrifice lives for them. THINK. Do any of these countries treat us fairly back??

GOD DOES 'Bless the USA' ...."In God We Trust" ..... May we ALL BELIEVE in God & TRUST HIM to take care of HIS world.

PRAY CHANGES THINGS. YALL TRY IT.

PS:

'Grace' is my personal 'Angel'.....She has a 'heavenly choir' who are loved ones who watch me. I survived an idiopathic brain annie.

Go get 'em boys!

We're proud of you, and appreciative of your efforts and courage.

Rhyner and Team

All of you are beyond being heros and I cannot imagine what you went through. I pray for a time some rest for all of you.

God bless you and the USA
