Nancy please stop using hair spray is hurts our enviornment. Also, you need to stop going home every weekend on a jet that uses more fuel in on trip than it would take to fuel a small town in any state. Lets be realistic, practice what you preace. Stop driving in you cars, retrofit all the democratics homes with green energy right now. I don't want to see any green favored memeber of congress eat anything other than soy and veggie food items. Lets start there. Show us how great it is and show us how to do it. Be our example for all your changes you are shooting for.
Last picture I seen of Al he was chomping down a good old fashioned steak cooked on a propane grill. hmmmmm interesting to say the least.
Gore's a Joke
Al "the internet" Gore is one of the biggest idiots on the planet. I lost all respect for the Nobel Prize committee when they gave it to that moron.
global warming is a scam
Lets just wait and see how those who believe in global warming try to convince us in 25 years when it hasn't gotten ant hotter. Because it is a hoax! it has been scientifically proven that solar activity has been peaking since the early 80's(when the global warming started to really become visible) go ahead and take the bait, you can bet a lot of people are lining their pockets with the money from this hoax.
For the Service member
Here's one for my service member friend. The Military decided to put energy saving bulbs in the AL Faw Palace in Bagdad at the price of 7,000 US dollars give or take a thousand within a month the bulbs were going out and needed to be replaced. The military genesis who decieded to that should have been fired! Now I'm not sure how he feels but as a tax payer to say the military is energy efficient and saves money is a stretch of the imagination. How many gallion of fuel does it take to run a M1A1 tank? Who is the biggest comsumer of fuel and please don't say American cars. It's the US military. How come we haven't seen an figures as to who much fuel has been comsumed during these little wars. The reason the amount would must likely run our cars for 10-20 years. The military has a long way to go and that's not even talking about cost overruns. Which are always built into the contract. The military hasn't built one piece of equipment with energy efficieny in mind. When was the last time you saw a stick on a military HUMVEE that said 3 miles to the gallon?
AL
Look folks frankly having the founder of the internet in a goverment position concerning energy is reassuring. When Al Gore went to the monastery and grew his beard and had his mediations as it is said with a higer being he found the way to renewable energy sources. It was almost like that movie the Love Doctor. Al as he is know to his freinds can't be faulted for making millions of dollars off of going Green. That would be liking faulting Exxon for being Exxon. Al has a logical plan to put millions of American out of work while saving the environment. Who could possibly agrue with those results! Plus the Europeans will love us. So we are getting two benefits at the expense of one the American work. Have we not got unemployee bemefits! Al should be given a cabinet position in the Obama adminstration. The only thing that could and should pervent Mr. Gore from that cabinet seat is if he didn't pay his taxes. But than he is a male and could be given a wavier by the Obama White House. It's not like he took millons of dollars from a foregin countey like the Clinton. So when you think Gore think Green and get on the party bus to unemployment. Remember for every American job you eliminate you saved a tree! You go Al!
never greener
al gore and his fake global warming scam does have a good sign for me.. green in the form of money. this green energy stuff will ride like the dot-com bubble and more recently the ethinol junk. but while most investments are free falling like rain my portfolio has grown 45% on the heels of the eco buggie people taking over.. THANK YOU SHEEP. by the way 45% equates to 4.5 mil.. thanks for lowering gas prices my 4 suvs and 2 hot rods only run on good fuel... keep up the good work sheep..
A Service-member's perspective
Mr Rose has a point. If you increase the tax incentives for organizations subscribing to the renewable energy process and maybe increase the tax assessed on organizations that have a large energy waste production, the two might create irreversible momentum for change. Without an incentive or punitive measures, why would an organization change? I have been in the Army for 18 years and have witnessed this very large organization begin to change towards greener methods. One small change is in the purchasing of lightbulbs. Although this is a small effort, it is still a change. I am not sure what the rest of our government agencies are doing to reduce their waste, but we need to lead by example if we want this kind of thought to permeate throught the country. If the Army can make these changes, the rest of the Department of Defense can change and inspire the oher agencies to do the same. Once the government is on board, we can demosntrate to the public the cost savings and environmental savings. Otherwise, we are paying lip service to the idea of preerving our environment for our children and their children as well. Thank you.
Quick way to energy efficient improvements.
Tax incentive are have proven, time and time again, to be the answer. We have seen many facility managers who have been willing to spend the extra money to specify Miro in their fixtures only because they were assured to receive EPAct - the energy tax credit. Often the increase in price for a Miro fixture is a few dollars, but the increase in energy efficiency is 25%. "Payback" is the magic work for building owners on tight budgets. Tax credits offer a faster payback. What is needed is a 100% first year write-off for the most energy efficient building systems - in lighting, HVAC or whatever the management wants. This is a proven, quick method for helping facilities make energy efficient improvements.
