the captain was going fast but the problem was that they had no binoculars on that ship they left them in ireland for some reason and they didn't see it until it was only a few hundred feet away and it was also because the titanic's rudder was to small for the ship

I think that yes the captain was going to fast but also that the Titanic was not very well made. Since they needed so much material they went cheap. So, when the ship first hit the ice burg it was a lot of just holes and then the cheaply made material THEN burst into a as they said a 300 ft gash. So I also thing it was the manufactures fault to. It was such a sa event in history. One of my distant family members was on the Titanic. I am only 12 years old but I am very interested in the Titanic.

actually titanic did not get hit by a torpedo u boat that was the lousitania and the torpedo would have left a BIG HOLE in the hule du, AND IF IT DID GET HIT BY A TORPEDO PEOPLE WOULD HAVE DIED IN THE EXPLOSION AND NO ONE REPORTED A TRIANGULAR LIGHT PATTERN AND U BOATS ARE ROUND AND NARROW NOT TRIANGULAR AND DONT HAVE WINDOWS

I believe that titanic was the most amazing thing i have ever seen even though it sank almost 89 years before i was born but i believe that titanic went high into the air that's why the ships middle section part was hanging low when the boat ripped in to, and to the stupid brent's girlfriend up two above it did not hit a giant killer whale and put the driver out of control, reason being is that the Titanic weighed 45,000 tons a stupid killer whale only weights 2 tons impossible for it to knock it off course. It sank because the watchmen had no binoculars and the rudder was to small and the ship was going to fast, also 90% of any ice burg is under water. If you don't believe read the books at your local library, and i am only 13 and i know more then you brent's girlfriend because i studied titanic since i was 6 years old so ha you 26 year old loser. OMG this artical is wrong my great-great-great grandfather was on the titanic and he was a survivor the artical is all wrong it didn't just hit the ice burg, it hit a giant killer whale thats what made it hit the ice burg the driver got out of control and put all their lives to death all exept 258. i would know my family has told me evrything i am 26 years old!!
