In response to your question, I would say yes, the Clinton administration covered up a bit more.
Its a sad fact that EVERY government covers things up, in all countries. Its a simple fact of life.
Now, let us all stop the partisan finger pointing, stop being a divided America. There must be some reason that the powers that be keep us all on 2 sides of the fence. I don't know what the answer is but I sure am looking for it.

Innocent till proven guilty
Yes, this is the way it is supposed to be (innocent till proven), but the popular media is among the WORST in trying people publicly. The mere hint of an allegation of a criminal act, published by the press (ad nauseum, usually) trashes people's privacy and hangs them out to dry long before it can go to a court, or EVEN before consideration by a grand jury. Same goes for those of you who say it's such a nice "coincidence." YOU are also assuming the guilt of others, without proof. Perhaps it is a Presidential conspiracy. But what if it is NOT?
I've been involved in emergency management and response operations for almost 25 years. I've been on such "white powder" runs. If the accused was, in fact, hired by someone to do the job, how do we know others are not waiting in the wings to do so again? The loss of a suspect means we will probably never know, certainly not conclusively. All we will have is speculation, allegation, some clues likely to leak (and that happens in ALL administrations, from the state level up), and various conspiracy theories, which may (or may not) be correct.
Personally, I'd like to find out who did and did not. And why. A lot of people's lives were at stake in late 2001 due to this, and as far as I am concerned, remain at risk.

I have never had respect for the government and I'm sure just like other things that "go wrong" this was just another ploy to give the government attention that it doesn't need. They need to be helping us not making us worry about their integrity. I'm worried about what this country is coming too.
