LGBT people in England, Belgium, Canada, Spain and the Netherlands all have equal rights, including marriage. Society has managed to accept it and adapt. We should learn something from "Bimatching dotcom", many members here working for GLBT rights. And there are about 150 members per day and they are very active. If you come back here frequently, you may find what you are looking easily and quickly.

Gay rights
Its about who you love .Not who you are .
Legalized poligamy, pedaphilia, bestiality.
I don't think that there will be any movement at all in the near
future for promoting or legalizing polygamy, pedophilia, or
besitality - perhaps never. I've never heard of any constituency
for them. A constituency for same sex marriag exists among gays, however. They construe marriage to be a human rights issue, seeking equal rights in every respect that are enjoyed by the straight majority. The perception that homosexuality is an inherent personality trait or characteristic is almost certainly true. The most recent impartial research
confirms that sexual orientation is not susceptible to change.
Gay folk have been subjected to many charges and accusations
for such a long time,(sinful, disordered, criminal, insane or
mentally sick, perverted and many nore) that it is a joy to see
them stand up for their rights. Gays have found their voice in the last 4 decades, beginning with the riots in New York in 1969. The police raided a bar, the Stoneall Inn, and the customers fought back. The confrontation lasted 3 days, marking
the start of a new era. The
GAY MARRIAGES
I SUPOORT GAY MARRIAGES TO ME WHO ARE WE TO TELL SOMEONE WHO THEY CAN LOVE, YOU DO NOT CHOOSE WHO YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH, IT JUST HAPPENS.
Gay (non) marriage
Only the US Media calls these partnerships "marriage" and it is apparently unaware that the world's consensus is that "marriage" is a unique institution between and man and a woman. Not one of the 15 nations that provide legal status for homosexual couples call that status "marriage".

Homosexual Marriage
The worst part of approving homosexual marriage is the moral precedence it sets. Homosexualism is a perversion to the natural order, and please don't tell me about the penguines. Genetics are no excuse either. There are a host of genetic disorders that we legally object to in our society, and we expect people to make changes to their lives.
The perversion we are witnessing, tolerating, accepting, promoting, will only lead to more. The argument of "love" is often raised in this debate: "No one can tell another whom he or she can't love." Make way for leagalized polygomy, pedaphilia, and beastiality, to name just three that are waiting to advance their cause, and they will use the same arguments the homosexuals have been using all these years. Am I a homophobe? For the above reasons, you bet I am.

READING COMPREHENSION FTW!!!
cjm, ignorant people like you cause always freak out when they see or hear words they don't like, but fail to understand what was written or said in the first place.
I NEVER disagreed or objected to gay marriage, only the means by which it was legalized. Gee, if only you focused your limited attention on what I wrote...
Power to the People
The second these judges superceded the will of voters by overturning the ban on gay marriage, this issue lost its validity and became a battle of power.
I, as a voter, and millions of other voters, VOTE to decide what is acceptable and what is not. I, as a voter, refuse to let 4 other citizens dictate to me, what is acceptable and what is not.
That is the cornerstone of a democracy. Once you let a privileged few decide what is good for all, democracy is gone. Freedom to choose is not. The power of a vote is eliminated, and a fundamental piece of this country is destroyed.
Live by the vote, die by the vote. Man up and accept the results for what they are. In time, gay marriage will probably be accepted by the majority of the population, but because THE PEOPLE VOTED FOR IT; not because a cabal of activist judges said it was okay.
checks and balances not judicial activism
This is not an issue of judicial activism. It's checks and balances. In this case the judicial branch decided that a decision made by the legislative branch 8 years ago was dated and even unconstitutional. In addition, the legislative branch (Calif State Legislature) recently passed a bill to allow gay marriage TWICE, yet it was nixed by the executive branch when Gov Shwarzy vetoed it. However, now with the governor's support of the Supreme Court decision, we have both the exec branch and the judicial branch AND the state legislature on the side of gay marriage.
And one question for you: How would YOU feel if you had to ask voters for permission to get married? How wrong is that? THAT's how gay people who are in love and want to commit feel.
Please change your mind and your heart on this important issue and spread the word!
Love always wins over hate.
