Im just sayin that if your partnership is gay then how would you have kids and really call them yours. No matter how much u think of them as yours they will never be yours. Thats why god made man and woman so that they can do the job that you gay couples are trying to do. You never be able to.

protecting marriage
If you REALLY are trying to protect marriage, then we should just go ahead and make it illegal to get divorced, hmmmm. I do recall that the " Bible" labeled it as a sin, one punishable by death, and compared homosexuality to the same abomination as eating shellfish.. should we revert back to stoning people to death again too?

Don't let your theology cloud your thoughts
Brits, Humans are animals. You might counter that your religion makes a distinction, but that's theology, not biology. Your Christianity is not the same as my Christianity (and I belong to the largest protestant denomination in XX); your interpretation of the message of Jesus is clearly not the same as mine. So let's just leave religion out of this, and focus on the constitution and the rights of individuals.

Not a Stupid White American
Anyone who wants to accept the financial and tax drawbacks, and continue to pay lots of their hard earned money to this corrupt government should tie the knot. If gay couples want to join this lousy status, so be it. Let them.
That being said, I will be voting against gay marriage in CA in November. Not because they don't deserve to be "miserable" like the rest of us, but because this issue was voted on before; and in a democracy, voters are king, not a handful of judges who overturn the choice of voters. I will not stand by while a handful of clowns forge the law as they see fit. That is not democratic, that is fascism.
Voter to voter, pimp to pimp --- that's where law will be decided, and certainly not from a mahogany pedestal.

Just like Wellsford Realty in San Diego (www.wellsfordrealty.com) who is offering their Pride Promotion to pay for honeymoon or wedding receptions for gay couples, many are glad to have the opportunity to welcome the change.

?!? Have you seen today's footage of the creaky, middle-aged couples who have waited 9 years, 18 years, even 50 years(!) to be married? I don't see any perversion going on, just love and commitment. Good for them.
Everyone, see today's Swedish research. God is cranking out a small % of the human race with genetic differences that tend to make them homosexual. Relax, that percentage won't change if homosexuals get married. If you want to "defend marriage", help out all the straight couples whose marriages are struggling.
