Arctic Drilling Wouldn't Cool High Oil Prices
Federal energy analysts say it would take 10 years for production to begin, and its impact could be very modest

oil drilling
well before we drill we need to make sure we dont have a disaster because if we did think off all the tragic times oil has been dumped into the ocean it would kill our wild life and other things too.
oil drilling
if we want to save mony stop having this drama about how to save mony on oil start working on cars and machines that can work on corn
your web site
that web site is so cool i wish i could make 1 just like u. i want to grow up and be just like u.
ANWR
I think we should save our self and the caribou. Should we save the caribou or drill in ANWR?
oil...
i think we should just drill oil in the artic because it would save us more money than buying it .we have plenty of it.it would be a very good idea.
and since we buy from some countries that we dont want to get in a war with because they give us oil,and we are the country the nedds or wants it the most.so just get it from here.and then our problems are solved with those countries.
America's Integrity
The Society of the United States is Characterized by Civic Values. It is based on equality, integrity and the pursuit of happiness. However, America has fallen away from these values and into the fatal attraction of money.
"We the people of the United States in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our prosperity, do ordain and establish this constitution for the United States of America." The Constitution is a perfect example of the values this country was built on. "In order to form a more perfect union," we need integrity to be the overriding focus of the American Citizens.
Integrity is the most essential value needed to be and American. At least it should be. "Character is doing the right thing when no one is looking. There are too many people that think that the only thing that is right is to get by and the only thing that is wrong is to get caught." -J.C Watts If American people were to put honesty, sense of duty, and sound moral principles above all else we would not have the corruption in our government leaders. However, America is about bigger and better. Unfortunately, this requires money being put first in the focus. It is up to the American people to change back to the values it was founded on, no mater how much money is involved.
Americans need to take pride in and respect the morals and values that this country was built on. Money and materialism cannot possibly satisfy our pursuit for happiness.Happiness is something we create for ourselves. It cannot be bought nor sold. This doesn't mean that greed is a source of happiness. Greed is a source of happiness for those with the shallow hearts that are not a symbol of America's ways. What we do for happiness may involve money, but the effects should not be seen in personal benefit. Happiness is achieved by doing things for the mutual benefit of all.
Doing the right thing, is not always easy, but it is still the right thing. Confucius taught his disciples that "To know what is right and not to do it, is the worst cowardice." America needs to revive the the morals and values that started this beautiful country. American people should take pride in the freedom of this country. They also need to eradicate the corruption from our government, before that freedom is lost. However, this starts with fixing America's integrity.
gas prices
well the gas prices have already gone down. We just need to try to invent a way that we don't have to use gas at all. Maybe if we can find an efficient way of life instead of burning up all of our natural resources. We the people need to STOP being so selfish and think of saving our planet. of course the earth will burn and crash one day, but why dont we make that day come later. At the rate that were going, we are going to suffer of the suns rays. that's just my thoughts. Everything goes in a cycle. You pump the gas from the ground. you need to use the gas for crops. etc... i think we need to make everything organic. and do it like the old days. BY HAND! ... of course its easy to just jump on and drive a HUGE combine around for your crops, but think of how much GAS that uses. people just need to put more thought into things. even myself
Drilling in the Artic Wildlife Refuge
Drilling in the Artic Wildlife Refuge would be a hugh mistake.
It would have little effect on the price of oil per barrel but terrible effect on the wildlife that have made there home there for years. The big oil companies only see a dollar and have no respect for wildlife or anything except the dollar bill. Alaska is the last of the "wild" places we have left that is untouched by pollution and man. The polar bears, caribou and other wildlife that live there, were put there by God for a reason. No one seems to care about nature, beauty or the fact that God created all of this for us. Why does man want to destroy everything natural when there are alternatives. The polar bear is a beautiful, magnificent animal that is now on the endangered list. To think of never being able to see them in the wild agian, hurts my heart to no end. The wolf, that is so misunderstood, is another beautiful animal that is being hunted from helicopters, being shot down for no reason. Please, let people open up there eyes and see what is happening before us and do something to make a difference before it is too late.
Question??
Why aren't we trying to produce energy through other ways such as solar energy for the time being? Has anyone thought about saving up energy from solar power (sense everyone knows that solar power is a lot harder to produce energy from) for the future. Why not use our other sources to produce energy? and while doing this instead of using up that energy save it for when we are in desperate need.
And take in consideration; I expect someone older than I (me being 17) shall start a new wave of saving energy and cutting down a lot more than what we have on using "oil energized products". Are we seriously that dependent on oil? If people were to really think about it, there is so many ways we can commute to work in the morning, commute to school. I personally believe in raising the prices unless our country is able to be mature about this situation and contribute more than the minimum to their society and environment by cutting down on oil.
I know raising prices sounds terrible and depressing, but look at each other and realize you all are the cause of this dispute. We have all created this problem as most always do. Thee only thing living on this perfect world that is contributing to the end of the world is us (human beings). We act as a virus and we can only cure the world by saving our resources and cutting down on our obsessions which result in this worldwide dispute of energy.
The last thing I want to hear is this idea; "Once we lose all resources of oil we'll find some resource that will replace it". I personally hate to say this, but this is false and until we actually "supposedly do find a secondary, last resort resource" it won't ever replace oil's history with us. We have not found a resource as quickly productive or as valuable as oil.
In note of my argument: We have failed each other and because of my parents, grandparents and great grandparents and whoever else contributed to this oil extravaganza era you have failed and now my generation as to suffer from your greed. Wish us luck and thank you.
ANWR
Horse hockey!
The picture is not the part of ANWR where drilling would take place. There are no mountains in Area 1002.
Area 1002 is a featureless coastal plain on the artic ocean, where even caribou can't be found - even during the 3-week long summer when it is a mud flat.
I dare anyone to document a single polar bear that has been killed as a result of drilling nearby at Prudhoe Bay.
More crap from Washington busybodies and the liberal media.
