Higher Food Prices Don't Affect the Cost of Living

As a senior I know that higher food prices won't make my cost of living go up because the President said that there will be no increase in the Cost Of Living Allowance for the seniors getting Social Security. The government giveth and the government taketh away, blessed be the government and it's leader Obama. So why are the seniors complaining; Obama knows best and said there will not be an increase in the COLA for the next two years because the cost of living is not going up for the seniors.
