Misleading Statements

In reference to Steve of IN comment: The main greenhouse gas of concern, CO2, is not "toxic junk" but a natural part of the atmosphere and is necessary for photosynthesis. Even if it is becoming "too much" C02, it still doesn't mean it is "toxic."

This article makes it sound like scientists found the Al Gore documentary and national newspapers more reliable than they really did by not spelling out the fine points. I don't know if this was because of lazy writing, an attempt to keep the article within a certain length, or because the writer wanted to spin the facts. In any case here is a quote from the cited article from Stats.org "Climate Scientists Agree on Warming, Disagree on Dangers, and Don’t Trust the Media’s Coverage of Climate Change," which covers the survey much more robustly"

"Only 1% of climate scientists rate either broadcast or cable television news about climate change as “very reliable.” Another 31% say broadcast news is “somewhat reliable,” compared to 25% for cable news. (The remainder rate TV news as “not very” or “not at all” reliable.) Local newspapers are rated as very reliable by 3% and somewhat reliable by 33% of scientists. Even the national press (New York Times, Wall St. Journal etc) is rated as very reliable by only 11%, although another 56% say it is at least somewhat reliable.

Polls

I would like to see who was really polled, and the questions asked. It is more likely a certain group of people with the same viewpoint, who may or maynot really are scientist normally they are UN politicians.

Oh please! Conservatives have already heard enough about all this bunk. Only we understand that spewing millions and millions of tons of toxic junk into our atmosphere will have little effect. It's a big sky! If we could just have less guvmint everything would all work out! :)
