Could see both ways...

Like many others, I feel that there are some reasons why we had to go and some why we never should have. On one hand, we are a major country, and so should help those in need. However, maybe we should have just helped from America, or just let them try to sort it out for themselves. We're saving countless lives over there, but in the process are destroying an equal amount. I personally am against all forms of war, but I think now we just need to finish what we started, then come home.

Is Iraq ready for the U.S. militay to start leaving?

I feel that when first going over to Iraq we had good reasons. The attacks that were happening had to end. But as of now, I think it's about time we start returning home. We obvioulsly can't just stop dead in the middle of this, but we should gradually start leaving as the Iraqi government takes its control over its provinces again. Some assistance might be neccessary from the U.S. military but eventually there will come a time when Iraq can take it back into their own hands.

"Is Iraq Ready for the U.S. Military to Start Leaving?"

I feel that is was a smart move for our troops to go to Iraq. Yes, I heard it caused the U.S. some financial problems but I think the bigger picture expresses a good idea. The troops helped make sure no more attacks occured in America and also helped Iraq with their security problems. Based on the knowledge I have received this is how I feel on this topic.

Let's Hurry

I think that we had our good reasons and bad reasons to go to Iraq. There were attacks being made at us and they had to be stopped. But the money and the time was a waste. Even though we had our reasons to go, I do not believe that we should have stayed as long as we are there for. Even though I don't think that it was the best idea for us to go over, i believe we made great progress. I don't think Iraq is ready for us to leave, so I think we should go home as soon as we can.

Is Iraq ready for the U.S. to leave?

I feel as if the U.S. did have to go to Iraq but at the same time they didn't need to go. Going to Iraq was a bad thing because it caused the U.S. to have financial problems. Sending our troops was a good thing at the same time because it helped Iraq with security problems and it stopped attacks from occurring in America. But their are no more problems in America so we should be able to leave now before we cause any trouble.

the war

I think that going over there was a big step for america. I think it the war brought america together for the first time in along time. I also think that we should not have went over there, but now that we already are we need to continue to stay in iraq until the job is done. We are obviously making progress and in order to make sure our country is safe we need to make sure there's is at least stable. We definitely have made serious progress which is good, but again I don't think going over there in the first place was a good idea. We need to fix the problem at hand though, not dwell on the decisions already made.

Leave.

In my opinion, I think that we shouldn't have went to Iraq in the first place. I think it was a waste of money, and time. I want to leave Iraq as soon as possible. Now that i read the article it seems that things are getting better, and more organized. Therefore, I feel that there is no need for our troops to be there anymore. Now we have to see if we taught them anything by leaving. If they don't succeed, that isn't our fault. We tried our best to help them. Now it is time for us to leave them.

Is Iraq Ready for the U.S. Military to Start Leaving?

I believe that that going to Iraq and fighting this war was something we were called to do. That we were meant to do this and help those in need. We are a rich country in many things and fighting this war was bound to happen. I hate watching the news and finding out more soldiers are dying, but they choose to go to Iraq and fight, they put themselves in danger. I disagree with Independent's comment because it sounds like we went to Iraq for nothing, and all those that died, died for nothing. Those who died, died in honor and we should respect that. If you at least think that we shouldn't be there, have respect for those there and those who died.

Is Iraq Ready for the U.S. Military to Start Leaving?

I believe that we both should have and should not have gone to Iraq. I think that it is good that we went because they needed help to have more security and to stop the attacks that were being made at us. I think that it was a bad idea to go because we could have ended the war before it even started. Although we were being attacked, I don't believe that it was necessary to stay that long. I don't think that Iraq will be ready for us to leave anytime soon, so I think we should leave before we can.

From a teen's point of view

For the U.S. to go to Iraq, I feel it was a huge accomplishment. when i was reading the article, i realized that the United States is a very strong country. We may not be stable financially, but we still kick butt. As the strongest country, we should help out those in need. We went over to Iraq to protect our country from the Iraqis who may have been harboring terrorist. Now don't get me wrong, i don't know why we're still there, but i don't want to leave too quickly. I mean, sooner or later this war will end, but i think we should stay there until we know the possible outcomes of us leaving. I cannot speak for our army who is still over there, but as someone who is watching from the sideline, this is my point of view.
