Worst Presidents

James Buchanan has to rate as the worst of our Presidents, due to his utter failure to protect the Union and his support of Confederate interests during that period that borders on high treason. Andrew Jackson should be ranked second worst for his genicide of eastern American Indians. In particular, his refusal to uphold the Supreme Court ruling in favor of the Cherokee Indian nation was an impeachable offense. Most of Congress at the time was just as guilty, with only a few brave souls, such as Davy Crocket, willing to vote against Jackson.
