Obama Meets With McCain, but Republican Strategists Say a Bipartisan Government Will Be Tough

Why Obama Reaches Out
Obama has the heart of a servant. He wants to use power not for self-aggrandizement but to solve the problems of America. To do this he needs a team of competent people to work with him. When Bush came to power he had a simple rule: "If Clinton did it I will not do it." That was stupid because much of what Clinton did worked. Bush put fellow ideologues and friends into positions for which they were not qualified because he did not care about helping the people through government, but only for the selfish power of government. Obama is selecting people based not on race, gender, party, or patronage, but on the basis of ability. He wants a government that works so that he can lead us out of the terrible mess we are in because of ignorance, greed, incompetence, and lust for power. He needs people such as Clinton and McCain who have sharp minds of their own and the willingness to disagree with him and show him another side of an issue. He wisely said in his acceptance speech that he would listen, especially to those who disagree with him - a great indication of strength and character. Let's be thankful for what we have in Obama and work with him to get out of this economic quagmire the Bush administration has led us into.
mccain's senior advisor
frank donatelli's name sounds like his relatives may have been originally from italy which used to have a ruler named mussolini. i wonder why a person as volatile as john mccain would have let him go "my friends"
The Exppression of Season
At first i would like to express my happiness towards the resault of US election by bringing Obama the prisident of USA.
it is my own view point to choose "CHANGE WE NEED"as the best expression of this season . it means the spirit of US people to acheive their dream of democracy.my cngratulations to all Americans for having this insistance to improve thier image all over the world.
Sad Truth agreement
I have extended family living in the deep South, and their anger and dislike towards Democrats is palpable at times. And for the older generation (my generation) the bigotry and anger at a man of color becoming THEIR president is sad to see.
I find it hard to believe that any large group of Republican (or Democrats for that matter) will be able to rise above their party to do what is best for America, as they are too often unable to see that compromise is better than nothing. And there are few issues that cannot be compromised on, providing there is even a modicum of good will towards the opposite party members.
That is why, even though they seemed rather uncomfortable in each other's presence, McCain and Obama are both honorable men who do care about what is best for America. And I, for one, hope that they will be able to set an example for their respective parties and do together what is best for this country.
Sad truth
My father was a life-long Republican - hated every Democrat - used to launch into vicious unsubstantiated diatribes about how stupid I was to support Kennedy, McGovern, and Clinton - how there were "socialists"!! (haha - still after 40 years..)
56 million of "my dads" voted for Sarah and John because
they dont like Democrats not because she was qualified or not or that his vision was better than Obama's. This is the nature of our politics and that the two parties would ever come together is a fairy tale as rich aas my father voting for Obama. There is bred into our system the dynamic of hatred. Strategists and talk show hosts are paid to amplify it. Politicians in order to get re-elected need to wallow in it. If Obama can pull off a successful re-ordering of our financial and military dilemnas inspite of the Republican attempts to derail it, he will have taken a great step towards uniting the country under the Democratic flag. That is the best we can hope for. I'm going for 58% to 41% in 2012.
Credibility Is The Slogan of USA election
The most thing attracted my attention in US election is full credibility that was drawn in the face of president Obama and his promises for his popular society with a better future for USA.my feelings tell me that he is the only one who deserves to be the president of the biggest country all over the world.
WE ARE NOT DONE YET
WE HAVE MORE TO DO:
Democrat Jim Martin is in a runoff against Bush Republican Saxby Chambliss for the Senate seat from Georgia. Bush's Saxby Chambliss voted against spending a few measly dollars to provide health care coverage for Georgia, and Americas needy children. But he supported wasting hundreds of billions of your dollars, and the life BLOOD of Americas finest on an unnecessary war in Iraq.
At a time when 47 million of you have no health insurance coverage, and over 100 million of you with insurance are just one major illness away from complete financial destruction. Bush and Saxby Chambliss voted to make the heart break of bankruptcy relief even harder for all of you to use.
You see, Bush and Saxby Chambliss, and his family don't have to worry about their health care coverage. They have the finest health care coverage your tax money can buy for them. Courtesy of you. The American Tax payer. In fact, no one but the super rich can afford the health care coverage you the tax payer provide for Saxby Chambliss, and his family for FREE! with your tax dollars.
He supposedly works for you. But he doesn't think you and your family should have access to the type of taxpayer supported FREE health care that you provide for him, and his loved ones for FREE!. Doesn't that just make you BURRING MAD!
Vote for JIM MARTIN for US senator from Georgia. Vote for JIM Martin who will be on your side. Vote for JIM MARTIN who will work with President Obama and a majority congress for you. Vote for JIM MARTIN most of all for your-self, your family's, friends, and loved ones. Vote for JIM MARTIN for a better America, and a better World.
Don't let Saxby Chambliss make a chump out of you by tricking you into voting against your own best interest. Saxby chambliss is NOT! on your side. He's not one of you. He is on George Bush's side. And we all know what a catastrophe the Bush Chambliss administration has been the past 8 years.
Contact all your family and friends and do every thing you can to see to it that JIM MARTIN and GEORGIANS! take that senate seat back for Georgia, and America. No matter where you live in America. This is important to you. President Obama will need all the help, and power you can give him to try and fix this catastrophic mess that the Corrupt Bush Chambliss administration has created.
As I said before you will have to vote in overwhelming numbers to overcome the Bush Chambliss "Let Them Eat Cake" vote fraud machine. Vote early if you can. Then help everyone you can get to the polls and vote for JIM MARTIN. You and your loved ones don't have to be Saxby Chambliss's victims anymore.
I know you will get it done. Just like you did for President Obama.
God bless all of you

Donatelli and Madden
These guys are Republican strategists? What have they done in real life? Been elected to public office? Ran a company or held down a demanding job? Taught school or were plumbers? Served in the military? Built houses or cars? Flipped burgers? Anything? Show me some palmares if you want me to pay attention to these Rush Limbaugh types who never did anything but talk.
They stir things up to promote their careers. If they are so smart, why did McCain and Romney lose?
Not really
Despite whats been said - technically the Baby Boomer generation extends into 1964. For some reason recently the tail end of the generation is now trying to separate itself. I suppose that some of us are embarrassed by George W's record and want to point the finger backwards at the older part of the generation and say "It was those guy's fault".
McCain
Mr. Obama made his career blaming Mr. Bush, without mercy or any respect for a sitting Christian conservative president, without any records or achievements of his own. Time will tell if he can do anyhing good, history shows Dermocartic policy always fails, with big speding, big well-fare system, high taxes to pay for all those things, free abortions paid for with taxpayers' money, and weak foreign policy. Then, we will see people will turn against him, without mercy nor respect for a change. Watch Pelosi, with her own ambition, closely! Mr. McCain shows he is a true gentleman, a hero and tested leader, a greater man than Mr. Obama's showmanship, for "Country First."
